    Morning all, hi Pat!

Cold and foggy here.  It definitely feels like a baking day...

    Keep warm and safe!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Change of plan - son busy today so I'll postpone my visit - I'm sure I can find something else to do image

    Morning all. -5°.

This afternoon we are going to a friend's Memorial Service. She lived here in France but went to her family in England when her cancer was bad, so the funeral was in England in November. Today would have been her birthday.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Sad Busy but I hope at least you enjoy seeing mutual friends.  Nice thing to do for her.

Haven't met any Brits here since we moved in tho OH has chatted with a peasant couple that have rented a house round the corner for years and go back to the UK for Xmas and New Year.  The only others we've seen were at the car-boot/vide grenier in July and they were all boozing quite early on and loud so to be avoided.

Fence man has been.  102 metres between us and the paddock so I shall find out how much to buy the fence panels and do it ourselves -need to keep dogs and horses separate.   He's advised blitzing the old donkey paddock a couple of times to kill all the old grass and weeds and then he can come in with a mini-digger and turn it and level it.  Fine by me.   He can also come in with a proper grown up one to clean out the bog and make it a pond again.   Yippee.

Nice chap - but they all have been so far apart from the idiot at IKEA.

Hubby said the temp outside is still 29c at 9pm. Not any breeze either. Could be an uncomfortable night unless the predicted rain comes along.image

Well, it's now 11 pm and it's 28.4c outside.  Hmmm! Sometimes I'm not pleased that he has that weather gadget outside. I'd rather not know.

Obelixx - are they really a 'peasant' couple, or did you mean pleasant! image

I don't really sleep late in the morning. If I slept till 8am it would be highly unusual. I've always been a morning person, although it takes slightly longer to get going on days off, even at 27...image

Hope you can get thigns sorted Hosta. It is wearing, and it becomes a real issue in your head then. I forgot about the Apple Tree thing anyway, so I probably won't bother with the catch up thingy. image

Minus 2 when I left earlier so not that cold, but we didn't get the clear sky and sun for long. It's now dank and 1 degree. Just as well I'm at work today then!

Too hot for me Pat - I won't be swapping countries with you anytime soon image

Too hot for me as well Fairy. I've relented and agreed with him to put the air con in the bedroom on.

I usually feel it's not needed, but tonight is exceptional. Night all. Keep snug.

Oops FG.  Typo. Hope the dank doesn't last.

Having lit our fire again last night OH, Bonzo and I ended up far too hot but kittens and Rasta just rolled over, belly up and luxuriated.   Cooled down in time for bed but both felt far too hot by 5am and we're still on the summer duvet withna patchwork quilt which may have to be folded up tonight.

Possum is due on Thursday or a long weekend and is what the French call "frileuse" so she has just had her bed made up with the winter tog duvet and a patchwork quilt and the help of two kittens.

A decent shower head is essential kit Dove.
