  • Fidget, we always find that when in a queue for a till they always seem to change till duties when its our turn . We then have to wait for then to sign in and then(often) they decide that more change is required . Aaaghimage!!

Joyce, glad your back to being warm and toasty.

Lira, we don't ever get sparrows in our garden, but like you  a 5 mins walk down the lane there are flocks of them in the bushes, and on close by bird feeders.

    Have a lovely evening everyone.

Snow here, and laying, but very slushy.  Risked bringing the car down the hill - if necessary I'll work from home tomorrow morning til it thaws image.

Hope GWRS isn't coastal Lincolnshire - sounds like it might get a bit hairyimage

Obxx - last nights purchase was a "Magnet" - they only had the earlier flowering ones for sale last night.  But "grumpy" and "augustus" are firmly on my wishlist for next monthimage

I think they had "magnet" at Ashwoods. Only they were £12 a bulb, so I didn't bother.

I'd love to try some early-flowering snowdrops.  Must look on line, I think...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Evening all. Have read back and now can't remember who said what, sorry. I hope LillyP's journey is going OK and the Heathrow flight isn't cancelled, glad Joyce's boiler is fixed and glad Clari survived her day... and now mind's gone blank. Hope the Lurgy Club has no new members.

A day of random tasks without much get up & go here. Returned lovely rake (Christmas gift from lovely but confused OH, who bought me something he thought I'd asked for instead of what I'd actually asked for) to GC, but weirdly didn't find anything else to buy in exchange. Got distressed trying to do some work for a role I was volunteered for and don't really 'get', and once the kids were home and fed went out in the dark and slushy snow to take some pictures for a local competition I've somehow got myself involved in (also wrote limerick for same). And that's the day gone.

I think I'll watch some recorded gardening programmes.

Snuggling down now image Sweet dreams all ...

  • Evening all, quick check in. I'm ok (ish). Challenged ex OH re ski trip & got out of it, said not appropriate & not fair to Charlie, he backed down. Really spelled out we are 'done' & to try & imply anything else was unfair to all. I was strong & steadfast at the time but feeling a bit wobbly now. Anyway, it's done, it needed to be done & I'm absolutely adopting the "no" first policy as advised by obelixx. ?

To mention gardening for once, very pleased to report a plethora of daffs on their way up in my little garden, they look a bit blind but early days yet. Nice surprise. ?

Watched 'The Witness for the Prosecution' tonight, thoroughly enjoyed, although got through half a box of of Ferrero Rocher in the process. ?

Good night all, hope everyone ok. Sleep tight. ??

Well done DD. Bound to feel wobbly afterwards, but he doesn't know.

I hope everyone is OK on the east coast tonight, just seen the news.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Excellent DD.  You deserved the chocolates.

Having said "no" once, it will be easier the next time.

Good for you DD - absolutely the right moveimage.  And daffs appearing is a good sign of a new start too ?? (I know thats a tulip emoji, but you get the driftimage).

Magnet is lovely Fidget (but only £2, which makes a big difference) ....long pedical (?spelling) means the flower head waves about a lot, which makes me smile.

Chicklet having a good dose of revision stress atm ......I am so glad I will never have to do another exam ever again, but I am feeling her painimage. This time next week they'll all be done and she'll get her smile back image
