I too am glad I will never do another exam.

I had nightmares for years in my twenties, triggered by early sunrises. always the same..going into an exam and finding I had revised the wrong subject altogether, or I was in the wrong place.

Exams every summer from 11 plus to final degree exams.  11 years of exams every summer.  When I did my final final, I whizzed back to my rented room in Whalley Range and wanged around the corner into the drive, and took the wing mirror off. image

Fidgetbone , never went to Uni , but in my job had to keep taking exams just to keep up to date with the changes in Finacial services / Insurance so no what you mean , still taking exams in my 50's and if you failed your job was on the line

    Glad to retire image

Well done DD - standing up to your ex won't have been easy but it was the right thing to do.

He may try it on again but saying "No" or "I need to think about it" as your default responses will eventually make him realise that you are determined to make a life apart from him.

    Evening all.

Hubby found some amusing photos on the internet, so I'm showing this one because I felt that some of you would be able to relate to it.image

This one was prettier than it came out, but the clouds were rather noticeable from the front veranda.

Ha, that reminds me of next doors Great Dane. She wasn't allowed on the chairs, but no one said anything about knees, so she would back up to you if you were sat in a chair, and park her bum in your lap.

Hubby has phoned, he is on the ferry just outside Holyhead. They cant come in as its too rough, so they are rolling about just outside the harbour. image

    Morning all.

Very windy but dry and last night's ice has gone.

Fidget - hope hubby's ferry sails.

Pat - lovely view from your place. I wouldn't fancy the weight of that dog on me!

Chicky - hope you can out from the ravine and that no one is badly affected by the weather.

Pat: Reggie is starting to become quite the lap dog but at 30kg you can imagine it often feels a lot like your picture!

Chicky do keep safe on the roads. I am hoping some people will choose not to travel if they don't feel confident. Unfortunately like my not bring pressured in to taking my germs at work I don't think the common sense approach will be applied too heavily.

Fidget: I hope your other half isn't too troubled by the rolling. I've been on ferries in similar circumstances and am thankfully not affected but for my travel sick companions it was a night worse than hell.
