Fidget, I feel for your hubby in that rolling sea. Yuk! Hope they can land soon.

Chicky, the Pokers  were a surprise in the photo because it was nearly dark and my focus was on the rosy clouds. Not bad though. They are such tough plants. They didn't get cut back last year, but it hasn't bothered them.

Re the dog photo, I'm so glad that HRH only weighs 4kg. Do people think it is a Great Dane? I didn't know what to think.

Hope Lilyp has managed her journey. Our weather channel advised this morning that the whole of the UK was suffering with a blizzard. I must admit I thought of you all.

We had another stinker here, though  I did manage to get a few jobs done in the garden, such as lifting the last of the onions and leeks, making more holes in the clogged up soaker hoses, cutting back silver beet that is going to seed. Etc.  there was a few drops of sprinkle and low cloud later this afternoon, but the humidity was appalling. I couldn't stop sweating, and ended up turning the air con on again to attempt to reduce the humidity.

glad Joyce had had the heating looked at. It sounds as though some of you with the flirty are slowly starting to come good. Hope so.

Memory has given up. Sorry if I missed anyone. Oh yes, of course, dear DD and Charlie. You've been on my mind ever since you explained the current problem. Good on you for being strong.

Morning all/ afties Pat - don't envy you the humidity. I'll stick with our 'hovering around zero' temps thanks image

Snow still here, albeit only a small covering of it left, and the wind's dropped.  We only had a couple of inches anyway. It'll be the ice on minor roads, which don't get gritted, that will be the issue. I have a little bit of those to negotiate, especially the last bit up the hill to work. My car is pretty useless on it. image

Don't envy your OH either fidget. Ferries aren't great even in small amounts of wind. I have great respect for the sea and love it - but only from a safe distance!

DD -  Eggcellent - as Mr Burns would say! You'll have to keep reinforcing the 'it's over' statement, but it's the way to go. The chocs help the wobble image Witness for the Prosecution was great wasn't it?

Anyone watching Unforgotten or No Offence? Both superb, in very different ways. First series of both were great - acting and stories.

Glad the folk with lurgy are on the mend. I've managed to avoid anything  -  so far.

Catch you all later - have a good day. Stay warm and dry if possible. Emojis have disappeared - must be the wind!

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Suddenly we have snow - I came out of the bathroom and the world had turned white image

That dog looks like part Great Dane, but part something else as well, - it looks bulkier and has a longer thicker coat than the Gt Danes I've known.

Made it image. Apart from the first bit (out of the ravineimage) it was not too bad.  And now.... that there salt won't mine itself ........

Morning all. White here too, but only a light sprinkle, though the flakes were quite big.

Couldn't stop coughing between 1 and 2am so slept on the sofa until 5am when I went back to bed.

Glad you made it, Chicky, I hope the salt mines are good to you today and you make it home again safely.

    Morning Allimage

Cold grey and very windy. It is also snowing - if it was trying a bit harder it would be a blizzard but there isn't nearly enough snow in it to call it that. Have a chap coming to fit a new bluetooth radio / phone answering jobbie in the camper today. We've (ie OH image) has been out to put the heating on so he can work in the warm.

Had an early morning TNT delivery. We were still in PJs - the driver was in...............SHORTS!!imageimage

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
