  • Glad you're feeling better,  it's a really nasty bug that's going around.

Too true - I've not felt so poorly in years ... I'm blaming the Queen for bringing her germs to Norfolk image

That's one of life's golden pleasures - the unexpected chocolate image

Just made a couple of stews for the chilly week ahead - might do a scone/cobbler topping on the beef one.

Had a quick scout around the garden today - bulbs popping up! Will wrap-up and do some tidying of the borders tomorrow so the new growth can crack on.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

I had the bug in Norfolk, but I can't blame the Queen as I brought it from France. But I found lots of people in Norfolk had already had it.

Enjoyed Call the Midwife. Just watched Apple Tree Yard, I'm not sure that I like it.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Think it's raising some 'interesting' issues ... Not sure that it's Sunday evening material ...  think we've got used to a certain amount of 'feel good' on a Sunday ... What night was Dr Foster on - was that Sundays?

Evening all. I'm laying in bed thinking about getting, but not really trying very hard.

Youve been writing about luscious food and making me think about breakfast.

nothing planned for today, but I'm sure I'll think about something to do.image

I've just been out a few minutes ago to turn off the soaker hoses, come back in, and Hubby said he'd go out and water the trees which are looking very sad. Suddenly he came rushing back in, grabbed the rifle and said there is a snake out there. I followed him out (barefoot) to see if I could spot it to help him focus and it's disappeared.   He's walking around out there with the rifle still, but I've come back inside.

I asked where it had been, and guess what, it was just near my garden gate where HRH and I had just come back through!  Not happy. I'm going to be nervous for the next few days. Well, super observant anyway. Our son and his cat are coming for a visit tomorrow, so she'll have to be kept inside. There's always an extra element around here. I've been relaxing a bit since the three snakes  I spotted in late spring and I thought it would be too hot for them now. It's been 33 again today. Perhaps it was heading up to my nicely watered veggie patch for a cool drink.

Good morning everyone! image Let's settle down and change the subject.
