Quick pop in, Fidget, I know it's tough but if you were here in France it would probably take at least 3 times longer to sort out I promise you!
Some good news from me too, I have today signed (covered in glitter and glue ) an agreement that I will buy the house that is going to be Chateau de Gateau for 95,000€, I am quite pleased, it was on for 120,00€ and although I was hoping for 90,000, I can live with the agreed price. Just need to find some money now.
I am happily dreaming of what it will look like for the moment now, hard work, blood, sweat and tears to follow I'm sure. Save me some jam for my scones please Dove.
Have a good evening all.

Fidget, a testing day to be sure! enjoy the spa break, think you've earned it!
DD congratulations! wonderful news! Let the planning commence!
Welcome home Hosta and OH

Clari, positive thinking! I got my job cuz I was the most enthusiastic for gardening! They will be lucky to have you, show them, or send them here and we will tell them!
Asbestos awareness training today, not sure why but another qualification to add to my CV
Hope everyone is well and keeping safe and warm, or cool as preferred have a lovely evening all
That's great news, DD. Is that the Compromis de Vente that you've signed? I really hope it all goes through smoothly.
Tipped another 6 barrows of manure onto the veg garden then planted 25 tulips and 3 big allium bulbs, Mount Everest, in the middle bed. Still have lots more to plant. Takes longer than I thought as it needs weeding as I go along and mole tunnels need filling in. Maybe that's why my beds are well drained!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
What an eventful day on here. We have arrived home exhausted but with very lively kittens so we're letting them scat before we hit the sack.
Clari - I do sincerely hope you get the job but even if you don't, at least you know there are jobs out there.
DD - Exciting. I hope all goes smoothly with finding the financing. Those 3 months will fly by and then you will be seriously busy!
Busy - that's a lot of muck. 12C when we got home at 9:30 so I'm hoping I can the rest of my bulbs planted this week. Some tulips and leucojum and heaven knows what else. They've come out of pots and beds so have no labels.
Dove - I love raspberry jam too, almost as much as spiced blackcurrant jelly which I doscovered a few years ago. Yummy.
Hosta - glad you're home safe and sound. Hope the garden is OK.
Fidget - how very frustrating. Maybe you need some of those dolls you stick pins in. I am still waiting for confirmation I exist but not, happily, so that I can claim my pensions... Good that the truck company has fessed up tho.
Sweet dreams everyone.
