LP, we were there 2 years ago, but it was only 2 weeks after my knee " went" so I was on crutches. It'll be nice to be able to walk about  this time.

Lovely photos, Hosta, I would rather be there than in 30°, but I hope you have a good holiday.

Slept better last night, it's just a cold. But a couple of years ago I had bronchitis 3 times following colds.

    Crisp and clear here -6°.

Lily P, no particular news about grandbabies, both are due in May. But Son 1's will be a girl and Son 2 doesn't want to know. Both DILs are feeling fine now morning sickness has passed. Son 1 already has 2 girls and Son 2 has 2 boys. I hope your families are all well.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • BL that's lovely family news image

Hosta - love your view - photos are gorgeous - hope you both have a lovely holiday. image

I've just been out to thaw out the birdbath and top up the feeders - a Snow Bunting crocus is up and blooming image  but no sign of the snowdrops ............ yet

  • Morning all!

Crisp and clear here too, thick frost, but outside sensor is on the blink so I'll just have to stick my nose out of doors to gauge the temperature...

I'm with you, Busy.  I'd much rather be next to Hosta's beautiful lake than anywhere with a temp of 30+.  Gorgeous photos!

Will be going to the shops the long way round (up and over and round!) this morning.  image

Morning all - bright and crunchy underfoot here too.  Cracking photos Hostaimage

Yesterday was similar - went for a lovely walk in the Punchbowl - surprisingly few people about.  I love this time between Christmas and New Year - lots of days to do just as you pleaseimage

Mr C got his chainsaw out late yesterday and felled some trees that had outstayed their welcome ....self seeders that were in totally the wrong place.  Today we have to clear up the messimage.  Small trees make an unbelievable mess when they are strewn across the ground rather than standing upright.  Leaves us room for a new flower bed though - will be mostly shrubs, but planning a cornus kousa as the centrepieceimage

Lovely news about impending grandchildren image

  • Ooh, cornus kousa!  image

It was pretty in the park this morning.

This is what's left of the row of Ash we took out. Hopefully the hedge will appreciate it.
