Look like long tailed tits to me too Lollipop birds glad your friend is ok Hosta - I love the NHS too - wish the tax dodgers would cough up their fair share of the funding
Glad the keys turned up BL - put the spare set somewhere safe and remember where that is Hope you're feeling better soon.
We've postponed our trip to see Wonky ... the beautiful blue sky and sunshine that was here a couple of hours ago has been replaced by thick freezing fog ... son is picking a friend up from Gatwick and says the fog has been really nasty. We'll visit Wonky another day
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Dove it's a shame you can't go today but Wonky will want you to be safe (as do the rst of us). I just heard on the news that there was an accident on the motorway that stretched back one and a half miles . Think they said Oxfordshire.
We're obviously luckier with the weather today as
Joyce has said. No frost or wind but it's overcast and chilly. Gorgeous pic of the long tailed tits Hosta, They come here every now and again in largish flocks and then disappear for ages. Glad the NHS came up trumps again.
Second son gave me money for Christmas so I've been trawling the shops in a hurry to spend it. I did find a really comfy pair of shoes which will mean I can trawl the shops for longer.
Shame about the sewing machine Obelixx. Have a good time and enjoy the hot chocolate
The fog lifted and we had a spell of bright sunshine but the sun has gone again now and it's turned very cold again and looks as if the fog will return before long. A large part of the A140 between here and Ipswich hadn't been dialled and can be nasty when idiots get impatient in foggy weather - particularly when other idiots don't put their headlights on It was so thick here earlier gthats I switched front and rear fog lights on just to drive down into the village, but there were of course silver coloured cars with no lights on at all trying to feel their way about

Hi all, have bee catching up with the dreaded hxxxxxxxk ??. That's a lovely birdie pic Hosta ?, hope your friend is comfortable and on the mend soon. Busy, wrap up well and have a wee hot toddy ?. Not cold here t.oday just damp. Slightly annoyed as hubby let the chickens out and they've ripped up 3/4 of the onion bulbs in one of my plots in garden.....(so much for watching them) ? BUT in the grand scheme of things, it is only onions eh?! Sorry no visit to Wonky today Dove but better Safe than sorry and theres always another day ?. Everyone else I've missed, have a good afternoon and all feeling under the weather, keep warm...?
I've just been catching up with dreaded HW too, hoovered all the downstairs, but now I feel exhausted so doing as you said Clarice, having one of those cold cure drinks with paracetamol and de-congestant.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Turkey stripped, large curry made, big pot of stock simmering and meat for turkey and ham pie diced and in the freezer all ready to go in a few days time when we can face turkey again. Might just have some fruit tonight - maybe a sliver of cheese if I need something savoury. Have made the curry quite a bit hotter than normal because my palate is tired. Hope we don't live to regret that decision in a few weeks time
Have also done several loads of washing which will need ironing and a bit of hswk.
Not bad for the "Day Off - doing absolutely nothing" which I promised myself .
Still - now it's time to light the fire, have a cuppa and finish watching Series 1 of Happy Valley. Brilliant writing. Seen it before but you pick up on some of the nuances you missed first time round and it's good enough to watch several times over
Palate might not be too tired for chocolate....
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Lovely winter's day now, freezing cold, but clear blue sky. Have been sitting outside getting some medicinal sunlight.
OH bought me a weekend in London, with dinner at a posh restaurant for. Something to look forward too after our hols.

Took a run down the coast to Culzean castle and fed the ducks and swans.
Lots of families out walking on the woodland paths as it's such a lovely day.

We've had the most glorious , cloud free , sunny day here.
All the ash we cut down has been cut, ready for logging and all the twiggy bits made the most wonderful bonfire.
Smell V smokey so a nice soak in the bath is called for.
