Obelixx your kittens are just lovely. Having another day of boring housework. Much needed window cleaning and dreading the sun appearing to show up any streaks I've left.
GWRS many years ago I saw a photo of the cathedral and Christmas market in a magazine and thought it looked wonderful and wanted to visit but it's a bit far to get to from Scotland. Maybe one day.
Good morning all. Oops, it's the afternoon already.
No work today but an endless list of chores which I can't seem to make a dent in. Going to venture outside in a bit to make a start on emptying the compost heaps. Haven't actually done it since getting them set up a few years ago - as time has gone on it's got more daunting, but I must. I had been saving (read: avoiding) them with the aim of using them to fill raised veg beds when I got them, but we had been putting ash and coals from the fire on them and I learned on here that that was a no-no. So the plan is to use the compost on non-veg areas.
Anyway, reading here is yet more avoidance!
Clarington, I know when we've been without heating in the past due to a dodgy boiler I have got much much more tired than normal - I think the body uses a lot more energy when trying to keep warm, even without being ill. Maybe a good sleep in a heated house will help?
And happy birthday to Hostafan .
Oh dear I said I wouldn't be able to keep up / remember and now my mind has gone blank. That was quick! Hello everyone else and thanks for the welcome.

Oh yes - hope your OH is okay, Fidgetbones. These things do seem to take a few days to appear, but I hope it's nothing too serious and he feels better soon.

Hello all - I'm posting this from the train just outside Glasgow, on my way home. Looking forward to seeing OH and the cat (actually been missing them both!), though it was a wrench to leave, this morning. Have done the painting, mending and cleaning so it all looks ship-shape for the visitors. Now to get my head around preparations for Christmas...
I've not been able to catch up properly yet - but I hope Mr Fidget recovers fully soon, and Hosta enjoys his birthday (lovely to see those turtles!).
That's the view I was reluctant to leave...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Hosta, do you know what species of turtles they are? I'm guessing loggerheads.
