  • 80 snow globes done - image but - more than several are leaking. image Guess who is going to be spending their evening 'fixing' them - lids are out in the garden drying in the sun now ready to be re-glued with double strength waterproof glue later! How do I get so involved?? image

Clari, very best of luck with the job. Awful time to apply, Christmas slows everything down. image One year I went for a job interview on the 18th of December at a college, wasn't sure how it had gone and didn't dare hope I had got it. So, I spent my  Christmas holiday planning all the lessons and resources for my then current school. The 6th of January came and lo and behold I had got the job. As pleased as I was, I was not pleased about handing all my hard work over to teacher that followed me, having therefore wasted my Christmas holiday. image

Welcome home Hosta, btw, I bet it feels really cold for you now. When are you off next, surely not staying in UK all winter? image

Ok, back to the 'globestone' . image Catch up later. image

Fingers crossed for you Clari. You deserve a lot more than you're getting now.

DD, a bit chilly yes, but I've been moving woodchip to keep warm and it's worked a treat.

Woodburner lit and a nice bath to look forward to.

Well the first lot sent me another letter. Dated three days after my birthday, but taking five days to get to me. " As you have not contacted us regarding your pension we have put it into a holding fund" image

That didn't really wind me up did it!!  Left hand don't know what the right hand is doing.

One half hour long phone call later....

Apparently the financial advisor sent the forms this morning... No that was me on t'interweb last night. So what are you doing about it?

"Well its too late to transfer money today, but tomorrow we will transfer it to your new pension provider, and you should have it by the end of the week."   Watch this space.  So money will disappear into the ether for a week while it goes from Wilmslow to Manchester.  Do you think me offering to lend some roller skates would help?

    As for the other shower.

Nice man on phone... Yes they received the copy of my birth certificate, decree absolute and six passports and a letter from the tax man with my NI number on it.  The transfer people haven't done anything because it needs a name change. The name change people haven't done  anything because its due for transfer. So its in a loop.  Yes he can give me a figure.Yes someone will send out the transfer forms. I should get them within a fortnight!! As I said, it's a good job I'm not starving, and desperate for it.

The truck drivers insurance have written to us. They accept responsibility. They can sort it out and provide him with a courtesy car. Only about ten days too late mate.   Volvo assist had it all sorted in 24 hours.

It's making hubby think he might like to retire early too. He's very nervous every time a lorry comes up behind him.  Only problem seems to be able to lay our hands on his money, which is with another couple of pension companies.

     Raspberry jam looks nice, Dove.

     Well done Clarington. Fingers crossed.

Lucky I am having a spa break to relax at the end of this week.image

Although the relaxation may all be ruined by spending the weekend with the in laws. image
