It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Wonder if the Internal Revenue will start looking more thoroughly into his financial affairs after all his bragging that he didn't pay taxes because he was "too smart"....?image

The more I think about it the more I cannot believe somebody with his moral standards (or lack of them) is about to become one of the most influential people in the world. But I guess there have been more than a few of them before.

His missus is no Michelle Obama either.

At least Trump won't have the time to visit Trump Turnberry, his hotel and golf course, half an hour away.

T'bird. . good that your landscaping is done before winter sets in and that you're pleased with it.

Cars are coming past, from the country villages, with a fair bit of snow on them.

    Hi allimage

A few flurries of snow here but nothing has settled on the ground.  You should be safe from Trump for a wee while Joyceimage.

I was awake most of the night but didn't look in because I was speechlessimage.  Went back to bed after the dog walk and when I woke up I found out it hadn't been a nightmareimage.

Good to see you around again Fairy but look after that wrist.

  • Hello again folks image  Tennis was fine - just half a session - serving underarm and no probs.  Physio was pleased - did another lot of 'cupping' on an area where it's still a bit painful at night, and that's my lot of NHS treatment, but I can go back privately if anything needs tweaking.

The weather has been really grim today - a chill and blustery wind and rain - but at least we've not had any snow.  Hope Wonky was wrapped up warm.

Supper simmering on the hob http://www.itv.com/ginositalianescape/recipes/chicken-with-anchovies-olives-and-chilli - we'll have it with rosemary roasted crushed potatoes and lamb's lettuce.

We went for a walk by the river, fed the ducks and swans, then sat in a pub by a roaring log fire and had wagyu burgers and chips. Something light for tonight I think.

Dove is going private an option?  It may be worth it for a few more sessions as it seems to be helping you.

Fidget, that sounded a nice day in theory - it just depends what all the conversation was aboutimage.  I've never tried Wagyu beef and it's one of my 'things to do/try'.  Don't think anyone will make me keen on offal thoughimage.  OH loves liver and bacon so only gets that when we're at an eatery with it on the menu.

    Rissotto tonight.

I dug up all my dahlias yesterday morning as they had blackened.  How long do you leave them upside down o dry out before 'packing up'.  Last year I stored them in cardboard boxes surrounded with weeks of paper shreddings

We went to the supermarket and now OH has gone to choir practice.

Our weather has been the same as Dove's, a cold and gusty wind and bursts of rain.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

they seemed to survive but I can't remember how long they were on a shelf.

Have a good evening and try to forget USA for a few hours.  They'll still be there tomorrow to worry aboutimageimage

    Hi all.

Still rain / sleet here and freezing.

Re: Dahlias Lesley. I try to let them drain for about a week and then box them up like you.
