    Morning all.

Guess what? rain last night. Just a sprinkle around 10.30 as we were heading back to our room. Not much better on the sleep front, but dropped off around 1.30am so an improvement on the night before.

Tragedy of tragedies. In the dining room last night and ...... wait for it...... there was a man wearing the same shirt as me!!!!image

Another day on the beach today beckons. I've not even started my book yet.

Keep warm ,dry, cool ( delete as required )

But did he look as good as you H?   Don't worry about the lack of sleep as long as you're warm and sunny by day.

Busy - we have skylights in the two ex stripey rooms which can be noisy but, if the wind's in the right direction it's noisy on the normal windows and shutter too.  Didn't sleep much myself last night.  Brain in gear.

Let's hope it's better for us all tonight.  Is OH flying or driving?

Chicky - have a good time tonight.   I was told to use granulated sugar and olive oil to rub dirt and rough skin off my hands after heavy gardening sessions.  May be worth a go or be uber cool and wear evening gloves.

Have just been out on our favourite circuit with teh dogs - they get a long time off the lead to run around and explore and sniff and chase the wind.  Rasta found a pile of smeliies and rolled so went straight in the bath on our return.  Horrible dog.   Feeling lovely and warm and bright out there after yesterday so definitely some pottering with bulbs this pm.

The horsey neighbours are coming to inspect our paddock to see about entry and security.  Their rent will be taken in barrows of muck for the compost and future veggies and roses.

Have a good day all whatever you're doing.   Hugs and cake for those who need them.

Bubble wrapping bodies just sounds noisy to me.   Does anyone recall the cling film sequence in Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café?  Brilliant film.

    OH is flying.

I've just made a big pressure cooker full of leek and potato soup. Tomorrow I'm going to help about 2 dozen other English ladies sort out clothes, bedding, household goods, for refugees in a barn about 40 mins north of here. The soup is my contribution for lunch. I might have met 1 or 2 of them before, but some of us come from some way away.

  • Chicky, my son and daughter-in-law are going to London this afternoon. They won their tickets through a draw run by SSE who are sponsoring the event. Wonder if it is the same one. The SportsBall.image

Hubby promised he would be early home tonight when he went at 6 this morning. He has just phoned, he will be very late. A 7.5 ton truck ran into the back of him as he was queuing for an island on the A5. The back of the car has no glass in in, possibly his computer that he has all todays work on is mashed, as it was at the back, the tow truck will be an hour and a half. Thankfully the second truck swerved and avoided the first one. He gave his details for a witness.  The truck appears to have more damage than the volvo estate. Well  it is built like a tank.  Hubby now has to sit in a layby until the tow truck comes out.  I guess the scratch on the bumper we got this time last year from the little old lady is going to be obliterated. image

Fidget . . the main thing is that your hubby hasn't been injured. Fortunately the truck ran into the back of his car.
