    Morning all.
Strictly speaking "got" is not good grammar and is usually unnecessary. I have blue eyes - no need for "got". I became old.  Not sure about I got out of bed! It's "have got" that shouldn't really be used, but in the last 50 years has become part of the English language.

Anyway, I hope you find a solution DD!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Very mild here too. . . didn't need electric blanket last night and the second morning that I've put the heating off early.

Hooray!  I haven't been able to log in for the last day or so (since the glitch on Sunday). I could read other people's posts but wasn't able to reply. Anyway, it seems as if it's fixed now.

ive got some moon photos but they're not brilliant. I'll have a bit of a go on the camera thread.

I agree BL - we can probably blame the Americans for this one  (easy targets at the moment anyway!!)image

In their defence, however, an American would never say "I have got old" - (s)he would say "I've gotten old.."image

Trying to explain the vagaries of the English language - I wish you well DDimage

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

I find it hard to use 'got' ...... blame Ma - she said it was an ugly word - or that's what Sister Whatsit told her as she rapped Ma's knuckles with a ruler image

But if you're teaching 'English as she is spoke' then somehow you have to explain it.  (I nearly said 'somehow you've got to explain it).

Well, the bright sunshine has disappeared and been replaced by drizzle .... we will be making an expedition to B&Q shortly for OH's piece of wood ............. I may well be found in the gardening section ........... or will it be full of Christmas trees ???

Nice bonus of having Hubby here: tea in bed and a cooked breaky before coalface duties.image

Dreech here an it looks set for the day.

Soooooooooooooo much to do before hols on Sunday,  so I'll politely decline the offer of a shift on Thursday morning.
