Chicky hope Mr Chicky ok and anyone else I have missed out, apologies hope you all well

This month has been really busy with the with family, lots of happy memories which will help us cope with times ahead. Lost my last "oldie" Pulls you up a bit when you realise you have moved up the carriage of the generation express

Our little gd got some good treatment while here  from NHS which is so reassuring. FB away back to Moscow to have baby and try to resettle into Russian life. Feeling a bit sad, you just want to be with your family dont you?!

On a brighter note OH has surprised me with a holiday in a couple of weeks time. Can't wait.

    Welcome back Lily P.

Been a day of French meetings today, charities etc, with supermarket sandwiched in between.

Going to stay with daughter 2 tomorrow to help her look after daughter 1's 3 boys while 1 and her OH go to Venice for their 10th wedding anniversary. Back Friday evening. D 2's OH will help at the w/e.

Good to see you Lily P - sounds like you've had your hands full ((hugs))

Back and shoulder are a bit sore now, so I'll flollop on the sofa for the evening - see you all in the morning - it feels quite good, snoozing away, knowing that everything is being well taken care of while we sleep as Pat will be awake and in charge image

Oh sorry Dove, I should have mentioned your shoulder, ?

Hope it's a bit better. Just as well the tennis season is over? D il who studied shoulders at Stanmore says if we could all wear a sling for three weeks shoulders would fix! Can you?

LilyP  image  we play indoor tennis so it's all year round - but I've not played for a few weeks now image  I've been told not to use a sling as this would weaken the muscles, and I need to strengthen the ones that hold the parts of the shoulder in their proper positions.

I think I'm really lucky with this physio - the company no longer has the NHS contract - I was one of the last NHS patients to be taken on - I'm certainly getting the full works as far as treatment goes.

When I've had NHS physio in the past it's been a couple of sessions at the most.

This physio says she's determined to get me doing all the things that I want to be able to do, and in better shape than I was before.  image

    Hi everyone,

LP did I read your email correctly?  It sounds like you have had a family breavement, hope you are OK.  I know what you mean about moving up the generation ladder, it certainly brings it home to you.  Hope everything goes well re the new grandchild, it's so exciting when the family gains a new member.

Hope the shoulder improves Dove, I've never had much success with physiotherapists, they never seem to sort anything out.  Do much better with sports therapists they really seem to get to the root of the problem.

DD and Busy, must be quite daunting having to be part of meetings in a foreign language.  I can hold my own in conversational German and am currently learning Turkish but when I'm in the company of native speakers I lose the conversation very easily

Spent some time in the garden this morning potted up two new Japanese Acers and planted a couple of Cornus (Midwinter Fire).  Did quite a bit of deadheading and tidying up.  Green Thumb came to treat the lawn so that should keep the moss down over the winter.

My GP hasn't mentioned physio for my shoulder, only cortisone injections, which I've had before, they were horrid. And no tennis, ever again image

Yvie Stevie, you must be the first person I've "met" who is learning Turkish!

Joyce, unfortunately the smaller rabbit died. Daughter took them both to the vet and the vet said the smaller one shouldn't have been offered for sale. He gave them a letter so they could get another healthier one. I think that's why that grandson wanted it, because it was the runt of the litter.
