The grandsons love their new pets.

I've spent the afternoon raking the earth for daughter's new huge lawn and picking out stones, then weeding a flower bed full of couch grass and cinquefoil. They moved into their new house this summer. It's lovely, SE of Poitiers a big rambly old stone farm house. Cost the same as our tiny cottage in Norfolk.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

BL, your daughters place sounds lovely.

Dove your curry talk has made me think about having a curry tonight,. Hubby does a nice chicken curry, I might have to remind him.image

ive slept very soundly and a peek through the curtains - sky looks clear. Could be a good day ahead. We've got a public holiday on Monday (it used to be calked 8 hour Day or Labour Day when I was a kid but think they've changed it now).   They like to confuse us oldies.

Hi Pat - I'm up to take daughter to work and then go walking. Hope you've had a good day - did you have your curry?  image

Hopefully some sun here after a chilly start too. Too dark to see what it's like outside though! We had a pink sky at times yesterday evening.

I'll have to have a quick look back to see what you've been up to. I was out in the garden till about 6 and then had dinner and shopping to sort out.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hi Fairy.  It's 4.30 yet, so a bit early for dinner. I've had a lovely day, sorted out some clutter in the GH, re-hung some of yesterday's washing for a final warm up before putting away in cupboard. All the sheets and towels are lovely and warm in the cupboard now.

I hope your weather holds out for your walk. Not a cloud to be seen here.

It's always the way, mixed blessings with the warmer days. Just had our first blow-fly managing to get inside. It underestimated Hubbys Lightning hand with the Mortein.

Mum Skink has also appeared on the back veranda in the sunshine. Hopefully gazing at the back door. Carrot chopped and spread around but she's taken off. Two of the babies were there as well. They haven't grown much over winter.

    Morning all.

Coal face duties to-day and , typically , there's not a cloud in the sky. Very chilly though.

    Morning all!

Chilly start here. His lordship is off out soon for a day with a friend so I'm trying to decide what to do. After puppies drama on Thursday it wont be long walks thats for sure!

  • Morning All,

Off to jogging club with Charlie shortly, not raining but a bit dull. Didn't manage the 7 mile run yesterday, saving it for Monday - honest. image

Yesterday we went swimming and had a little wander around the local town, there was a huge leather fair on, saw some fabulous handbags, gloves and shoes, many hand made, but we just looked and admired, didn't buy. Nice to see the skills. image

Hoping at some point today to catch up on SCD, missed it last night and want to see it before the results are out. My one TV indulgence, well apart from GBBO. image

Have a good day all. image
