We've put the net over the pond, but the ash leaves are always later falling than most trees - we noticed on the way home yesterday that the lime trees along the Newmarket road have just started dropping their leaves and the pathways beneath are golden - they're the first to fall around here.

Wonderful sky pic Fairy. Hosta you're a very thoughtful soul.
Been to SM then took OH to Dr's. Turns out the pain is probably groin strain so the usual advice to take Ibuprofen and paracetamol was given. It's very inconvenient as he's my hooverer . Hope to get my winter pansies in the containers today as it's dry so far.
Joyce OH joined you in a medicinal brandy last night. Worked for him too.
I'm back - I've had 'cupping' on my back and shoulder - OH says my back looks as if I've been run over by a motor bike I was rather hoping I'd look more like an Olympic swimmer Apparently it shows up areas where there is poor blood supply to the muscles, and then helps to stimulate the blood flow in that area.

I'm trying to come up with ways to display all the thank you letters and pictures we get to education at the museum. I don't have any display board space but it seems a shame for them to sit in cupboards unseen by visitors.
Clari....a clothes airer using pegs to hang up the letters and pictures. Folds away when not in use.
Dove. . I have raked up four bags of leaves from the lime tree and there's lots more to come. There are about thirty large old trees along our boundary with the wood. All bulbs now planted except tulips.
Strange to think about your limes dropping their leaves. My pinoaks have miraculously got rid of their ugly winter foliage - must have been helped by the horrible winds we've had as well as the new shoots pushing them off. I can't get over how it seems to have happened overnight. We were only commenting about how long they were holding their old leaves a couple of days ago, and suddenly they're nowhere to be seen. They're probably down by the river now
Clari, interesting challenge you've given us. How about a type of visitors book that they could look through and perhaps sign in - it could be an art folio type which you could stick the photos into.
Best wishes all of you with aches and pains, have any of you heard from a PDoc or Bushman!

Morning all/afternoon Pat
Felt queasy during the night so had a small medicinal brandy at 3am which did the trick.
DD. . "did" Paris with two other teachers and 40 teenagers so you and Charlie will be fine. Enjoy your few days with friends.
Sunrise and sunset can be really beautiful but I only see the former from March until Sept when I start slow hibernation.
Garden today. . . loads of leaves to be gathered.

Has any clever people any suggestions?
Could you put strings across the ceiling and hang them on like washing on a line? That's what my mother did with Christmas cards.

Beautiful day and fairly warm.

Night all.
I've been thinking about Pdoc and Bushman and hoping they're ok - positive thoughts winging their way ((hugs)).
Sweet dreams Pat
