Unexpected visitor. . .  "just popping in". . . but stayed for lunch and yacked for ages afterwards.

Nice to see her but my bulb planting plans will have to wait for another day so hope the good weather lasts for a few days.

Pork is in the oven; a slow roast. Partly for taste partly because the oven is the only form of heating this house has right now.

I was toying with opening the mulled wine earlier. Normally by rule it doesn't come out til first frost but... well surely it's frosty somewhere? ;)

I'm glad I tidied the greenhouse up; I've decided to move half my kitchen in there to keep it safe from the builders. Hopefully his lordship will be back before dark (I doubt it) to help move larger items (and his car laptop that's currently on the kitchen counter).

imageI think it's frosty in North Scotland, Clari.image

Back from daughter's. Must do dinner, fish - it's quick and we'll eat it in front of Strictly.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Littlest chicklet was sent home from work earlier - think she has tonsilitus againimage. Another trip to the doctors tomorrow I think.

before that I got 1 whole plant in the ground - I think my current ratio is 9 parts weeding to 1 part planting .....never seems to work like that with Montyimage.  Still, it was a good plant - hydrangea limelight- so I am pleased with my efforts.

Now time to curl up with my book again - will have devoured it before bedtime this eveningimageimageimage

Evening all. Glad you've all been busy and hope you're feeling a bit better now Dove.

    Cute rabbit BL-hope you're ok today x

Long day - and yes, frosty even here. Had to scrape the windscreen when I set off this morning.  None too warm up the top of the hill and lots of fog en route, but an astonishingly glorious day. Too weary to do the photos ( there's 96 of 'em image ) but you can have this one.

Not too shabby for a lunchtime view image

Now I'll have my tea and see what's what

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Wow, gorgeous view, Fairy!  image

Hi folks.  Just a quick look in between lawn-laying/singing and bramble-bashing in Devon.  Son's new lawn looks good!

Best wishes for the sniffles.  Mine have gone!!  image

See you all at the end of the week.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Planted up seven large pots. Complained to the bulb suppliers about the quality of some of the bulbs. Squishy bulbs not acceptable.

Fairy - encore - magnificent view but I wondered how warm you felt.  It was a beautiful day and the views (from the road) were gorgeous,

Lizzie the wee rabbit is lovely.  I'm sure there have been many conversations about names.  Hope everyone is happy now and that you can have a rest from weeding. (Till you get home)

Get well soon to all the poorly people.  Hope honey and lemon worked.

Hello all. We are having a very late, slow start today. Had a bad night with HRH. Up and down, up and down. . Open the door, then back inside, then back outside! She was not seeing very well yesterday and kept losing sight of me out in the garden. She kept running all around the garden looking for me. she didn't fancy her tucker either. I think she is failing, 15th birthday next January. It's hard to prepare mentally for that which we all know must eventually happen, but it's easier said than done.  Now that it's 12.15pm, she is happily asleep on the lounge chair. Hasn't eaten yet today, either.

I meant to say yesterday that it's good to see you Runnyb.havent heard from you for a while. Hope all is OK with you and yours.

Best wishes for those of you with cold and other things.

we've got sun, but the wind is cold, so probably won't be doing much outside.image
