Gosh Pat; I thought they were kidneys when I first saw them!

Well that's my holiday over. I've realised that I have no idea where any of my work wear is due to the house workings rather causing chaos.

His lordship has the rest of this week off; I'm hoping he can crack on with the simple tasks around the house while I'm trying not to drown in a sea of small children. That is if the hound isn't as demanding as he was last night.

    Keep warm and safe anyone.

Is the world coming to an end? No MArmite in Tescos! With everything else that's happening in the world and that is the first item on the news image

Morning and what an indecent time of day it is to be up and about.

Why did I agree to overtime with an 8am start?

We never go down to summer duvet and never ( virtually ) have the window open in the bedroom at night.

Underfloor heating keeps the bedroom just nice.

Haven't looked outside yet, IT'S DARK. I HATE WINTER.

Hi Catnap, no booze for me, I've given up. image

    Morning all/afties Pat. Interesting pic!

Haven't yet looked back - not here last night, but willl try to do so later.

Can't let worldwide misery get in the way of big business, eh Dove? Yesterday I noticed some of the newspapers had photos of someone leaving a reality show on the front page. Shock horror. image

Have to go, so have a decent day everyone, if you can.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Morning all cool and overcast at the moment.

No garden today we are off to the MS centre for my wife's Physio and massage sessions and maybe some oxygen therapy if the chamber is available.

No duvet for me just a cotton sheet and always the window part open I might but my dressing gown over my feet if it's really cold.

    Have a good day all.

Fairy, keep it quiet but Hostas got loads of room in his huge garage to stockpile a supply of Marmite for Forkers not to mention Dove body lotion!

Morning Catnap and everyone else image

  • Good morning All,

Managed a good read back but don't want to risk getting people mixed up by mis-quoting but big hug for Obelixx though for losing poor pusscat. image

Hello Catnap, nice to meet you. image

Hosta I am with you on winter, it's just so dark it doesn't seem natural to be climbing out of bed in the morning. image

Anyway, Chateau de Gateau update. image Bank have agreed in principal to the project. image Have been directed to places for New Business grants and possibility of money to make the place disabled friendly. image Plumber found more faults than I was hoping for in the property image but can fit a bathroom in where I need it for me and Charlie. image I have now put a very low offer in on the property, tried to politely justify myself so as not to make them feel insulted. Estate agent thinks I've got no chance but I equally think they have no chance of selling it at the current prices, especially as the plumber discovered that the drainage/sewage system is totally against building regulations and will need completely re plumbing.Time to be patient and play the waiting game.  It will give me time to get all the applications in anyway and see what comes of the that. Also, I can be looking at other properties whilst the vendors are stuck with just the one house to sell - going into winter too which can only lead to more neglect (it is empty and they live in Scotland).

Teaching today and have been dragged into working in a charity shop tomorrow to cover someone who is ill so I might not be about much, but I'll be thinking about you all - can't quite get the vision of Dove hanging over the back of a chair by her ankles out of my mind anyway. imageimageimage
