His parents can have the 'pleasure' of listening to him about his aches and pains T'bird image

    You enjoy your weekend image

BL - the problem is we tend to garden as though we were 27 and the aches and pains take longer to go away image

Aternoon all,  Had a long lie in this morning didn't wake until 10.30 image.  Have no idea why, must have needed the rest.

Nothing particular planned for today, deciding whether to plant some daffs or go for a wonder around Ashwoods.  Will visit mum later.

    Hope everyone enjoys their day.

You'd have to get past me Hosta - that's our place - didn't you read that it belongs to a couple of artists? image

I went up to Wyevale and came back with some Tarda tulips and some Crocus sativus for next autumn.

Then I called in at Notcutts on the way home and picked up some little variegated ivies to go in pots with little daffs, and some species-type tulips 'Lilac Wonder' and some more Crocus 'Snow Bunting' just fell into the basket image

Notcutts also gave me a freebie of some red 'Darwin' type tulips - not sure where they're going to go - I'll put them in a pot and find a place for them later.

Sounds like a successfull outing Doveimage

Hosta, it's all yours, love the views but wouldn't live there if you paid me. Reminds me of a factory on a techno park.  Used to visit them all the time when I worked for the wildlife trust all concrete and green roofs. Good job we're not all alike.

Didn't get the daffs planted today.  Visited Ashwoods and came away with a couple of new pots to put carex in by the front door, some cyclamen, violas and heathers to brighten up pots under front window.

Muddle up it's Dulux weathershield 'Green Glade' it's a satin finish for wood or metal.  Have to say it's worn really well.

I'm a hopeless case because  I like both styles...  image

I'd hate the thought of heating that house Hosta ...mind you, if you can afford the house, I expect you don't have to worry about that  anyway.  Is it all eco friendly though?  Perhaps there's some hamsters on a big wheel powering a generator...image

The eco house on the way to my work has been roughcasted now- looks like the same finish as my extension which deosn't really look right. Now that they've removed the scaffolding, the 'front' of it looks quite odd. Nice green roof though. I must get a pic.

You can never have too many Snow Bunting, Dove. I think it's a beautiful crocus. I still have loads of bulbs to plant  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
