Pat, as you probably know my stomach is... well ruined with a splash of FUBAR. If you have any questions on FODMAP or even just need a rant feel free to send me a message.
Please please however remember that it takes weeks to undo the bad stuff so remember as you start it'll not be an instant cure. I was told not to expect to see any changes for 6 - 8 weeks.
Well work was... interesting.
Puppy and I are now hiding in the caravan to stay out of the way of his lordships DIY efforts. We have suffered our SECOND courier cookie up in a week so progress is hampered
Lantana, a very realistic scenario in the cane fields - I can relate to it. When I spoke to Gordon, he casually said they'd get going early and probably arrive by about 1pm. This time coincides with Hubby getting collected from the chiro and relaxing in the Coles arcade with a coffee before I drive us home. Then lunch, and Hubby having a lay down. I might add that Melbourne us an 8 hour drive, so he wasn't kidding about leaving early. They're probably half way here even now (8am). I was hoping that Julie would ring back after she'd said good night to their granddaughter, but no calls.
ive had a full week (well few days) already so was planning on the finishing touches while hubby had his lie down. I've decided that I'm not going to push myself out of my planned routine and they can make the bed themselves. I will try to give the bathroom and toilet room a pine-o-clean mopping before we leave for town, though, so that the floors will be dry. I might just take the opportunity to remind them that I'll be 80 in less than 4 years!
Clari, thanks for the help offered. I just might need to message you about FODMAP. I'm not sure how long my visitors are planning their visit for, but less than a week, I'm sure. So, I won't be trying anything new until they're gone.
I am rather put out that my Broccolini and Kale are going to be off the menu. The garden is producing nicely at the moment. There's not much point freezing them if they are part of what's stirring my system up.
You're right of course Joyce, but Hubby tends to include them chopped up in meals such as fried rice And other all-in-one type recipes, so I wouldn't be able to avoid them. It'll be an interesting month trying to work out what does what. Time for us to get up and start the day. Hubby and HRH are still asleep. He had to let her out at 4am, I'm told, but since I don't hear these things happening, I don't get involved.
Oh dear Hosta - early start indeed. Still pitch black here, with the owls hooting away, and you will be at work by now
My sorbus tree arrived yesterday - and a beautiful one it is too. Must pop to the GC at lunchtime to get some tree guards to protect its trunk from marauding bambis. Think this weekends job will be to get it (and the boxes of daffodil and allium bulbs that are messing up my kitchen) in the ground.

Pat....broccoli and Kale may not be guilty so why not freeze them......OH can eat them
I use a lot of Kale in the winter if the s&s haven't got to them.
