Welcome back Bushman, LilyP and Pdoc - you've been missed.  Glad you enjoyed family time LilyP, hope things stay "on the up" Bushman.  Pdoc, can't find words to express my admiration.

Meanwhile, back in the mundane .....loving my apples this year. Planted 4 trees in 2009, and they are finally coming in to their own (who knew baby apple trees produce baby size apples ??image).  Been having a couple a day for snacks at work for a few weeks now.  Amazing the difference in flavours from different trees .....and makes the supermarket ones taste pretty bland in comparison.  So well worth the wait .......so glad we planted our "orchard".

    Morning all!

Punk I'm amazed and just a little scared for you. I wish I were brave enough to even consider leaving Yorkshire.

Only one more wall to knock plaster from and then we're bare walls everywhere!

No news from the plumber yet, nor the butcher which is a tad annoying as I missed the delivery slot for my alternative provider to find... they won't be back in the area for two weeks. Doh! I must get more organised!

It feels like it should be Friday today.

Morning all. Happy anniversary Pat, I hope you have a good day.

Welcome back Pdoc and Bushman. Gosh that was a brave and unselfish thing to do Pdoc, must be why you are a Doc and why you get depressed, you must have seen so much misery and not thought of how it could affect you.

    Have a lovely time DD.
    Off to my daughter's.

    Morning all/afties Pat.

As chicky says, there are no words to express the respect and admiration, doc. You're brilliant. How many people get off their chuff and go and do something like that? I' m putting a hat on so that I can take it off to you. It's lovely to see you back here   xxx

Lovely to see you too B'man. What better way to nourish the soul than a trip up north - especially there. It's an emotional place for me, and more so just now as this is the period of the year when my parents' birthdays, and the anniversaries of their deaths, are. My Mum would have been 90 yesterday. Thank you for the lovely photo  image

Love to everyone else today - have to go to work and earn a shekel or two. Have a great day image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
