    Hi all.

Not read back so hope you are all well.

As I am sure you have realised, I have not been in Scotland, for all this time, in fact I have not been in Scotland at all!

I have been in a place called Aziz, working for MSF, for the last 6 weeks. I hope you can appreciate why I was not able to tell you.

Needless to say it was terrifying and distressing beyond my comprehension, now have to hope OH will forgive me, when I have had my de-brief and finally get home.

Should leave London tomorrow and then I probably need to sleep for a few days, very little was had out there.

I am sure you must think I am stupid beyond belief and no they did not know about my mental illness, but it was something I just had to do.

Hope to catch up with you all soon and most of all hope you are all well.

How can you lie there and think of England

Dove I tend to go in October as the  midges are over by then. Stayed in a lovely house  on the  Black Isle near the little village of  Rosemarkie. By sheer  coicedence there happened to be 2 brewery's close by.☺

P doc. I am looking forward to reading your book, surely with your life experiences you are writing one? Delighted you are home safe, MSF dear to my own heart I am sure your help was invaluable I salute you! When do you go to Grenada??

Bushman,  nothing like a bit of Scottish scenery to heal the soul. Family just back from Skye and said the weather fantastic, glad you are feeling better.  I love Ullapool, you will have heard the one about the Russians?!

Busy  Physio for shoulder is really worth doing, you got to keep it moving, ouch!

Yvie we are fine, just seem to be hit with challenge after challenge at the moment. Onwards and upwards!

Doc good on you my friend. Too many people say plenty but  do nothing. You chose to do something.

Bushman and Punkdoc, I'm very glad you're both ok.you too Lilyp.

Since Dove has left me in charge while she sleeps her back lumps off, I'd better try to keep things going.  image

It's our 44 th wedding anniversary today, and we are planning to just do nothing! Except, of course, a lovely roast dinner tonight. I bought some turkey winglets, sweet potato, and other goodies yesterday so all is organised for tonight.

Bushman, the road trip around Scotland sounds like it was just what was needed.  Love the photo of Ullapool. Any chance of you putting some of your photos on the jigsaw planet site?  I'd love to have a go at them. Fairygirl has been putting some wonderful photos on and has kept me very occupied.

punkdoc, how challenging for you. I've been a fan of the Anne Perry WW1 novels, and she is so good at explaining situations similar to what you must have experienced In Aziz. I'm thinking of Sebastol among others. Now that you're back, you can get on with a quieter life.

Hello to everyone else. Too many bits to remember, but I do remember about learning Turkish language. We frequently get Turkish pizza in town and have become quite friendly with the owners. Yvie, that's quite a challenge.   We used to have a Persian (Iranian) family next door some years ago, and we loved learning out their culture. Still swap a Christmas telephone chat.

have a good sleep all.  Catch you in your morning.
