I've been on Nanna duty too today. Lost count how many times I had to read the same teddy story lol, but she sat on my lap cuddled up the whole time........so whats not to like
Hosta, what a lovely thing to do, hug from me too x
Runny, don't know why you're having to do that, perhaps there's a few gremlins. I'm not getting many notifications and my words have started jumping into one another again..........this has taken ages
Darn it Hosta. Now I feel teary too! If I ever get to meet you face to face, you just know that I'll expect to be able to give you a big hug as well.
now I've forgotten what everyone else has written about. My Doc reassures me that I'm not losing it, but sometimes I wonder when I'm so easily distracted. Have a good one everybody.
Off to the local butcher at 07:30 this morning in the hope they can provide me with meat for the dog at a reasonably price. He won't eat the only prepared meals from our local suppliers and all the others have such a big delivery charge (& I'd need to take the day off to be in for delivery: can't really have 25kg of frozen raw meat delivered to work).
I have however found that the butcher does gluten free sausages! So I shall be brimming our freezer too. I'm going to try and get organised and plan our meals in advance as even through the plaster dust and lack of heating, lighting, workspace, ceilings... I'm getting bored of quick easy meals.
Early start for me today as I have a completely full schedule - not quite sure how it will all fit in, but it has to be done! Tomorrow Charlie and I are catching a train at 5:03am to get to Paris for the day before visiting friends in the North of France for a few days, looking forward to it but a bit apprehensive about the travel (two trains) and of course spending the day in Paris on my own with Charlie. I am sure it will be fine, we want to have fun, only want to see the Eiffel Tower and the science museum, so not cramming too much in, but of course feel the burden of responsibility. Then our friends (ex B&B customers) only speak French and it is a first time visit for us, so I am a bit apprehensive about speaking just French for the whole five days and also don't want to put them out or disrupt their lifestyle too much. Silly I know, they have been nothing but positive about our staying, really encouraged us to go, so I am sure it will all be fine.
Anyway, must go, working, meetings, i*****g and packing to get done and somehow have to get my car to the garage for a tweaking.
Best wishes to those feeling poorly (and tired, Hosta). Met three 3 ladies yesterday for dinner and all of us have dodgy shoulders, must be an age thing - .
Hugs to everyone,Hosta what a big softie you are, but how kind. May or may not get on here for a few days but I'll be thinking of you all.

DD Have a lovely time with Charlie. You'll be fine exploring and adventuring together. I can remember the time when I had so little self confidence that I couldn't go into a supermarket that I'd not been in before without having a panic attack. You'd be amazed at the things I've done since including staying in various parts of France (including Paris) with only very rudimentary schoolgirl French and travelling around Italy with no Italian at all! have a great time

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Have a lovely trip DD - I'm sure your friends are well aware that French isn't your first language and will be very accomodating
Hoep the weather is pleasant for the sightseeing. Always helps. Cold and dry here - I went out to take another moon shot as it's clear, and it's about four degrees just now. Hope I don't need to scrape the car. We had a gorgeous sunrise a few days ago - like a Turner painting. I put some pix on the camera thread but here's one for anyone who hasn't been up early enough to see one
What a lovely person you are Hosta - as if we didn't know it already ...
It's timely when the story about the old lady being 'rescued' by the cafe owner has been in the news. Sometimes we don't realise that a few words can make a massive difference to someone who's struggling or lonely. Gives you back some faith in the human race.
Better shift - more salt to mine....have a good day everyone, especially the ones with aches and pains
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I hope you have a lovely time DD.
Going to a meeting this morning, in French.
Good morning all
Special ((hugs)) for Hosta.
