Some ranunculus I put in plug trays last month are growing well, so I potted them on, three to a six inch pot.

Drissel and breaks of sunhere today and temperature have slightly dropped so it does feel as spring has arrived
Decided to get on with some mulching in my boarders with well rotted horse manure but still more boarder to do
Emptied and refilled one of my compost bins and discovered some composted  Crocosmia Lucifer corms had started to sprout some growth
At the end of all that I felt like I'd done 2 hours in the gym but still very satisfying to know that most of my plants have had some goodness and protection if we get a cold snap again. Will endeavour to empty another 2 compots bins tomorrow if my body allows  me to get out of bed 😀🌷

Manage to get society rotavator yesterday & "spun" in the manure I had spread, Did all clear areas of both full & 1/2 plot in one go. Need new shoulders & wrists now! Seeing rain today so glad I got it done yesterday it was still a bit sticky but if forecasts are right it would be another 2 weeks if not.

Probably emerging from hibernation as Queens or new solitary bees, some may lay their larvae there for next year. Well done for helping, half water/half sugar is the way to go
  • Potted up some controversial (on here) bedding plants this afternoon - hopping they will attract some bees to our garden (antirrhinum). Planted an established Astilbe Younique in our new border this morning. Also spent time planning where to plant my daughter's doorstep plants in tubs and containers, purple is her colour, so attractive to bees and butterflies. Also pruned the small hydrangeas.  OH pottered.

Felled yesterday by a migraine, but managed to sow some antirrinhums before my vision went ! Was going to do some more seed sowing today, but as weather better than expected l decided to get n the garden instead. Plantd a couple of thrifts, a white campanula and assisted (well, supervised) planting of honeysuckle by OH. Did some soil tickling watched by blackbird while listening to mild cussing by neighbour fixing a piece of trellis to his side gate.
More sed sowing tomorrow, is the plan  :)
