Our GC had a 4 for £10 plant offer, at first I wasn't drawn to this as I could only see one plant that I really, really wanted (a Geum Blazing Sunset), but once I had started I just quietly added 3 more plants and before I knew it I had spent £10. All good sturdy plants too. Apart from the Geum I now can't remember the names of the plants I bought - oh dear!
A couple of weeks ago I bought some unmarked Guam in my local gc reduced bins for £1 pot . They were only small but leggy and no labels to say what type but I have planted them out already and they are growing well. Once they begin to flower I will have to try to identify them.
not to worried as I love them all.
To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour.
I have never grown them before but I want to try to establish them in a new bed I put in last year. I was hoping they might self seed themselves but maybe I should save a few seeds for the greenhouse just in case.

Yes, I would do that Sussexsun. I have been growing Mrs. Bradshaw for a few years now, and only once has it self seeded, so I collect the seeds after flowing. The seeds usually germinate very easily in the greenhouse. I sow mine in September, so the small plants are ready to put out in March depending on the weather, which I have now done.
Lady Stratheden is another variety that germinates easily. They are yellow flowered. Cooky is another one that seems very easy to germinate from collected seed. I have tried Rivale with varying success, but Tequila Sunrise has been more difficult so far and only 1 seed germinated.

Love those koi. My brother used to keep koi but had to leave them behind when he moved as he had no pond. Last year he started anew but it will take awhile until the fish reach that size again.

Gave a feed to my containers that tete a tete daffodils and dwarf iris. Stlll looking good. Planted out some asiatic lillies. Gave a ericaceous water feed to my Peris. Edged the lawn to create a better curve.
I just had some soil inspection in my garden. I noticed that the heat turned my soil little dry so I needed to fix it to be able to plant a new vegetable in my garden.

I have a few varieties of Geum, and I keep adding to my collection, also collecting the seeds in late summer after flowering.
