Four packets of sweet peas in roottrainers, some 10 week stock, and some scabious in plug trays.  Doesn't sound much, but I had to remove the datura in its pot to be able to get to the other side of the greenhouse. I found the labyrynth dahlias, so I repotted those as well.  I'm a bit stiff, so I think I will leave some more seed sowing for tomorrow.  I think I am going to have to slaughter the fig again.

Not done much here. I've had a quick check in the greenhouse and watered a few things. I should be cutting back perennials, weeding and spreading manure but I pulled a muscle in my chest a couple of weeks ago doing the drop and roll after I managed to set my dressing gown on fire! Pootled around the very squelchy lawn,  put a few plant supports in place. Washed a few pots and put fleece back in the coldframe to protect my salvia cuttings. Haven't sown any seeds yet, hopefully after this next cold spell we'll finally get Spring going and keeping going ! I just can't seem to get started this year  :/

    Slum!  Pyrotechnics?

Have finished weeding a 16 square metre bed despite playing the hokey-cokey (in-out) with the showers.  Don't mind warm rain but draw the line at nasty cold stuff down my neck.   Feeling weary now so a glass of wine is being enjoyed while dinner cooks.

Beautiful spring day here at last hardly any wind on Allotments (which is rare). Still too wet to dig so continued wheeling & spreading the horse muck I had delivered last week. Picked some daffodils  that I have naturalised under the plum & damson tree, They started to come out as the day progressed. Hope they survive the forecast snow tomorrow.

As you can see in the background the Rhubarb is coming on too.

Nothing so exciting . I was lighting a fire on Sunday morning to keep warm whilst watching Match of the Day. The tip of the match flew back at me. I think I own the least fire retardant robe in the land!

Wow, GD!  Dead-heading daffs... my first Tete-a-tete opened up a couple of days ago.  All the rest are hiding in readiness for the next Eastern Beast.

No gardening today, because it's been persistently wet.  Nice few days early in the week though, when I got some much-needed pruning done.
