My first earlies are chitting in the utility room, but none  of the others.

Our spuds - OH's idea, not mine - are chitting in the annex which is bright but unheated and progress is very slow.  Just as well as the ground is too very soggy to plant them at the mo.  Not that I'm complaining about rain.  I can wait.

Today's "gardening" consisted of venturing down the steps in the snow to find a rock, to place on the dustbin lid to stop it blowing off...

Nothing done today unless you count sweeping the snow off the greenhouse roof to let the light in. Now snow has covered it again.

  • Charlottes chitting on window sill waiting for Easter to go out and play. Snow drops and crocus in full blum and that's it.

  • All bird feeders filled, bird bath with clean water, and swept the snow off my potted Tetatete,so they could get upright again, poor little things!

  • Only topped up the bird feeders - first thing and later this morning and will do one more top up later this afternoon. Too cold for any gardening today - hopefully tomorrow will be a nicer day outside.

Bitterly cold out there, watered the plants in the greenhouse and that's about it.  Had a check at the frogspawn and it seems alright the pond hasn't frozen over this time.  Have kept the pump running which has helped to keep it clear.
