Bob the Gardener, the removal of your privet/mix hedge has given your garden more sun, but won't you now have more wind blowing across the garden too? Having looked at the list of hedging that can replace our honey fungus privet/escallonia (see Privet hedge topic) I am thinking more of a mixed plant hedge with perhaps a few small trees included. Happy planting!
Good morning all , I have a mixed hedge , mostly hawthorn , at bottom of garden there is some box growing through it but some had died so cut it out , need to put a something in it but not sure yet , was thinking about a couple of privet bushes , so will read the site mentioned
I've moved just over a cubic metre of soon to be compost from one heap to another. Spread 8 barrowfulls of mulch around and cut all the greenhouse tomatos and cucumbers down. I've used some muscles my body had forgotten about.
Gosh Slum - it's all or nothing for you today - how are you going to follow that tomorrow? Don't seize up!
I had a lazy day today - bi-election to vote in, guitar lesson and some cooking - but I did open and then later on close the cold GH door - does that count as gardening?
