Also got rid of a lot lily bettle lava , some big grubs in the poo
Thought about cutting the lawn but with no rain for so long not grown much so will leave it
Doghouse , went to a Japanese Garden , North Clifton Nr Newark Notts on Thursday with local gardening club , very interesting , particularly liked what had been done to some trees , shame didn't take iPad for pictures
Moved huge chosia ternata, two year old dwarf flowering cherry and white camellia from the groundd to pots. Fingers crossed, I need to make way for a summer house and there is no room in the garden. However they have filled out the planned Japanese corner nicely. OH has not yet been persuaded to do any work to 'authenticate' it. So plants will have to be enough for now, no pergola, no screening etc. Time yet.
Also been to garden centre to buy bamboo to make a bee house with son, some bedding plants for a hanging basket he wanted too.
Lovelly day, got out in my pjs at 7, weeded path along by veg plot, couldnt sleep for the heat last night, went out at midnight, looking at my new wildflower plugs, slug city! (sory folks, I DID put slg pelletts down) these plugs arent cheap, they seem to have settled in well after only a couple of days.
I can beat you there NB, I was out there by 5.30 this morning, it's amazing what you can get done in the early hours, I'd rather be up and doing than laying in bed wasting time not sleeping,?
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Slug pellets in jars - do you bury them into the soil GWRS - that is a daft question - I am sure you do.
Deadheading and planting up the last of the ivy pelagoniums into an old tin bath - now I wonder if that will leach metal into the soil and kill them off - I think I am becoming paranoid with this leaching problem.

Had rain woohoo, after laying wildflower mat yesterday much appreciated! Tidied grapevine, picked huge amounts of soft fruit.

A day off from gardening - although we did have our pond water tested yet again at the fish/pond centre - not good news.
Planted up my wall half baskets, one with mint one with flowers
Did a small bit of strimming of this year turf, then some planting flowers in a raised bed and lots of watering
