Obelixx, I'm surprised you say no Glyphosate in France. They sell it here and the ban wasn't to be until until 2022. More recently the news is that only Glyphosate containing Tallowamine is to be banned.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I thought the ban came in this January. Good. I have a fine patch of bulrush to clear. Otherwise, just lots of nettles to strim and sling on the new compost heap. Can you believe in all this space there wasn't one?
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Just blow-vac'd the first fall of beech leaves onto the lawn and ran the mower over to collect the lot. The lawn was nice and dry and it's extremely mild down here in South Hants today. Having three huge beech trees means this is the first of what will be a regular activity until the last leaves finally drop whenever that might be. The green-waste wheelie bin will be bursting every week and the neighbours will laugh at me stood in it jumping up and down.
It will be interesting how many beech nut husks we get this year. The first two years we were here there were thousands upon thousands yet last year there was literally a handful. I'm sure there's an explanation behind that?
Picked quite a big bunch of sweet peas, a white scented rose (Margaret Merill) left a few roses in the garden, and some cosmos, lots of buds still to come out on them, (Grew them from seed and very pleased with results!)
Verdun, I have a couple of very large clusters of Dahlia tubers...this may make me look a bit thick, but how can I divide them? They have been in a pot for a couple of years, and didn't flower well this year, so decided it was time for them to be moved, and I presume that dividing them and repotting will encourage more flowers??

Johnny , you need a permit to breed War Elephants ?
Hope everybody is well
Wanted to finish planting my pots but it rained too much.
GWRS,
I'm sure a person wouldn't NEED a permit but they certainly WOULD need psychotherapy and lots of it. lol
Whats a War Elephant, is that some type of plant?
