I may have mentioned this already, but some of the new Digitalis hybrids, those that are crosses with Isoplexis, are not hardy, although they are often sold as hardy.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I bought some apricot digitalis, which I was told were perennial. They had quite narrow leaves. Not only did they not flower last year, they died in the winter. It was -11°.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Yes punkoc Thompson and Morgn sell them, as hardy, wildflower "turf" cam got it laid watered before after during, collected my grandaughter who is staying the weekend. A bit of watering, sowed a few seeds.
I transplanted some Silk tree seedlings into 5 inch pots - they have grown so quickly and look very healthy too. Also did the usual watering and moving things from A to B and back again!!
Planted the rest of my summer pots and hanging baskets today, thought it was about time. I buckled and bought some lucky dip bedding from Suttons, 36 for £25. Lovely plants, some a bit stringy as they were ready to get out of their pots but all will repair themselves.
Planted out some more cosmonauts and collated various little seedlings in case spares are required.
Could do with tidying up outside now I've emptied so many pots, bit of a mess really
Victoria Snap been planting up my baskets and pots got some plant from a garden show for a great price - so nice to do some planting been doing lots with paving slabs this week
