Obelixx, I'm not sure if you've said already, and I've missed it, or if you'r keeping it to yourself, ( perfectly wise ) When are you moving and to where( roughly)? and how many plants have you got on the " to take" list?
Afties all - home from the hill. Just the one - the weather gods decided it was monsoon season for the Cairngorms so I got ever so slightly wet on the way back
Most enjoyable though - loads of photos so I'll sort some out later. You can keep Sunday lunch roasts - I had this to look at while having a granola bar and a bottle of water
.
Just the buzzards, mountain hares, bees and grouse for company.....and Bambi and his/her two friends later as well. Not too shabby huh?
LP- Does that equestrian centre begin with 'H'? That's where I work. You'll have to have words with the powers that be...
Our local flower show has classes for juniors too - can't remember exactly, but they have a few age groups with suitable categories. Oldest fairylet entered something when she was about 8
Lovely robin pic chicky. Yours are quite different Pat - but very striking. My young one seems to have his orange tum now (fairly sure it was him on the feeder this morning) He was still quite speckly last time I saw him - just a faint bit of orange coming through.
Hope chicky has had a nice dry walk and Dove has had 'dry' chish and fips. Could do with some of those myself...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
HF - End of September. The Vendée, near Moutiers-les-Maufaits.
So far - half a dozen big hostas, half a dozen clems, half a dozen roses, several hydrangea paniculata, a golden rain tree, pots of lilies, two Japanese maples, a gunnera I've been nurturing for 3 years, a selection of hardy geraniums, hemerocallis, geums. Sundry smaller pots with divisions of other treasures and probably one or two more clems and some of my special Wisley bought strawberries with pink flowers and some bits and pieces picked up at Beth Chatto's last May.
Still have about 50 other small pots of this and that to sort for giving away, replanting or taking with and lots of seeds.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Thanks Hosta. I have my eye on another half dozen hostas and am thinking about more clems and at least one rose and have 2 hamamelis on order as I can't find them listed on local nursery sites even though the soil is acid to neutral. Trying not to be excessive........
The climate will certainly be kinder for plants in winter and dryer too for my arthritic bits and Rasta doggy's too. I don't know anyone who's heard of bits of the Vendée except maybe one or two of the coastal resorts. It's an 8 hour drive plus doggy pit stops as long as we go via Rouen and avoid the Paris orbital which is a nightmare.
FG looks like a lovely day out. Well done SGL. I need to do a bit more sorting and then put the dinner on before I get my shower.

Gosh - that's a big shift obelixx! I didn't realise you were moving from Belgium - apologies if you've said that before. As Hosta says - hopefully the climate will be a bit kinder for you
I'm off for a shower too lily - had a cuppa already - and some oatcakes and cheese. Think I'd better wring out my trousers and put them in the wash first....

OH has had his shorts removed for treatment too. Came home form golf after managing to stay clean a and dry in his best beige shorts and then went to pick autumn raspberries and blackberries. Stains all over the front so they're soaking in Biotex now. He's put some dark ones on to walk teh dogs while I carry on getting mucky upstairs.
Need to think about putting the oven on for dinner - roast chuck for Possum who likes a roast dinner on Sunday. Conventional child. Don't know where I got her from.
We weren't dead set on leaving Belgium just yet but have been looking for a suitable spot to retire to when we did and found something we really like at Easter and then put ours on the market to see what happened. Houses in the village and other old farmhouses round here have sat there for 2 years with no sale. Ours took 10 days so a bit of a shock! The buyers are French with Belgian antecedents on her side and were looking for a "longère" with some land for their chucks. perfect fit. They spend their hols in her parents' holiday home on the Vendée coast just 30 mins from our new house. Spooky.

I think you've been rather restrained Obelixx. Well done.
Just had to google the location
, sorry .
It's a fair old way and the climate should be much kinder than your current location.
What a lovely project to be getting into. I wish you all the best.
Stunning pic Fairy.
Had enough of wallpaper stripping for today, using a steamer was like having a sauna.....phewww.
Showered changed and now having a well earned cuppa.
