  • Morning all,

Bit chilly here (in comparison to 30+ degrees last few weeks).

Trying to make arrangements to pick up Charlie (it's my week-end) not best pleased that I have to go and get him and made to look like I am hassling Charlie out of his dad's home. Need to re-think this particular changeover, annoyed because last week I got him there nice and early and in a very positive way. Perhaps I am just being a bit sensitive. image

Hope your OH has dried out Dove, a hearty stew sounds just the thing.image

WW, make sure you relax on your recuperation week-end and don't end up catching up on loads of chores. image

See you all later, have a good day. image

  • Morning all.

So who stole the sun! Raining here today, very different from our glorious week of sunshine. Although garden really needs it. Still very hot though.

Sorry not read back, but hope everyone is well.

Having a lazy day today after a busy week of Nanna duty and decorating! But getting there and getting excited about new carpets and furniture arriving in a few weeks. Will be glad to get things ship shape again!

Not had much time in the garden except for grass cutting and a quick weed.

Hope you all have a lovely day, take care xx

Up for the day. . . . blue sky, sunny but a slight autumnal chill.image

Glad to hear you're resting WW and a bit better.

Looks like today's weather will please most of us, especially those needing rain for their gardens.

    Have a good weekend.

DD, really! Is this YOU advising relaxation?!? image if I'm honest, there's a load of washing up soaking in the sink, image and I will be gently pottering, in an attempt to stay on top of things image hope you have a lovely weekend with Charlie image

Enjoy your lazy day SGL, sounds like you have been very industrious and deserve a rest, you will need all you energies for the new furniture and carpets etc! Rearranging and tinkering can be exhausting! image

Weather certainly pleasing me Joyce! I've been so hot for weeks!, lawn is a stubble field and the cat has been asking for a crewcut! Well at least I think that's what he said image its a lot cooler now image

Hello Hazel, think the sleeping is body insisting on rest, normally have trouble dropping off, brain doesn't stop thinking! image Have a lovely walk image

See you all at Doves for stew and dumplings later! image

  • Just had a few phone calls - OH's colleague has child care problems (again) - flippin ex trying to sabotage her job.  Won't happen!  OH has phoned former colleague who is now a lady of leisure but likes to come in and work occasionally (for a good gossip image).  She'll cover for the day image However it may mean that he's late home as he'll do all the closing down and cashing up - casserole and dumplings will wait for him whatever time he gets back, so that's a decision made image

DD ((hugs))  why not ask Charlie what works for him re handovers?  I'm not saying he should make all the decisions, but his view could be taken into account when plans are being made - he's sensible enough to understand that there will be other factors to take into consideration as well. image  Enjoy your weekend image

    Morning allimage

Fine here now - we had our months quota of rain on Thursday night/Friday morning.

Driving to Nottingham later to take Chicklet back to Uniimage.  Its been lovely having her back home for the whole summer.  This year she is in a house, rented with 6 friends - only seen it from the outside, so look forward to helping her get settled in a new room.  Going up this pm and driving back tomorrow - so the garden will just have to survive without me for another weekend.  Looking quite good out there though.....lots of yellow and purpleimage?☂?☂?image

    Morning all.

    HIdeous night.

Intense shoulder/ neck pains woke me up all through the night so very little sleep.

DD Ex and I always " collected" I'd collect the girls from her house, and she'd come collect them from mine. Whatever do , I think it's important it's fair and that you stick to it., for everyone's sake. I'm sure you'll work it out for yourself. Good luck and have a lovely time with Charlie.

Really don't feel like doing much but 4 tons of wood chip won't shift itself.

One plus of being awake last night was watching Spikey and chums in the most intensely bright full moon I've ever seen.

Morning all, Sunny here at the moment but not sure how it's going to go, there's quite a bit of cloud about.

Want to plant some more seeds today and will pop to see mom later.  Have had some plants delivered from Secret Gardening Club so will need to sort them out.  Nothing else planned really so a fairly relaxed day.

Don't be anxious Pat just take it easy and explore all you options.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
