Todays pictorial contribution is a Fab egg .....see what I did there
Ok, more than one - couldn't decide which was my favourite. Having a completely wonderful time Gotta go - breakfast awaits, amd someone else is cooking it
Hosta you might change your mind if you had no choice about unmade roads and tractors. It gets monotonous some times.
Chicky I love the Faberge eggs. Wow again. Sounds as though you're having a great time.
We had a bit of excitement this morning. Hubby heard something scrambling in the chimney. Hehad let the fire go out because it wasn't too cold overnight. Shone a torch through the glass window and there was a bird crouched against the back. Decisions had to be made, Hubby was worried that if he opened the door, it would fly out and spread ash all over the ceiling and walls. What to do. I remembered I had a little butterfly net thing out the back, so carefully eased the door open and looped the ring over him. Success. All Hubby had to do the was twist the net enough to get his hand under it and let it go outside. I think it might have been a starling. A bit speckled. I couldn't get a good look at it as it sped off. Im glad I didn't get up and get the fire going again.
It is gorgeous isn't it? But it'd probably look better in your home Hosta, than in this one - At least it would probably get dusted more regularly at your place
Hope work flies by today and you're home in time to enjoy some of the better weather.
Chicky, sounds as if you're having a fantastic time
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Chicky you are so jammy. When I was in P7 we had a reading book and one of the stories in it was all about Carl and the Fabergé eggs. I was fascinated by it! I'd love to see them in real life but until they let dogs in it won't happen. Maybe one day they'll bring them to the Ulster Museum .
Today the baskets are going out! I'm sick of sweeping steps and paths.
Morning all/afties Pat - it's a shame you're not awake at the same times as most of us here - you'll just have to move.... Glad you managed to rescue the bird.
Beautiful pix chicky. They're so gloriously over the top aren't they! I don't think they'd suit my house either Dove - I'm far too un-exotic....
and how on earth do you get the toasty soldiers in?...
Joyce - I'm always hopeful
Could have done with some of DD's tart last night - well, I had a lot of cream left over...
Have a lovely day with your friend BL. Hope the weather's good.
Nice here but very cool at the moment. The low sun was creating lovely shadows earlier when I got up for a cuppa. Won't be long and it won't clearthe back fencebut I'll enjoy the nice days while we have them. Some dry, clear frosty ones instead of manky wet ones would be nice in the next monthor two. It's not much to ask is it?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I've been playing around with Zentangle designs. I'm absolutely hooked on them. I've asked Hubby to order a beginners book from Amazon So that I can learn some of the tricks. Anyone else looking at them?

Hi Chicky. I'll have the blue one, I'm a sucker for a bit of guilloché enameling. and Fabergé did it so well.

glad the bird didn't get roasted Pat or caught by the cat
Chicky, Fab eggs. . . found we didn't get sufficient time to linger and drool over them.
A chilly breeze but it's dry

Pat, I've just had a look and think it would need to be children's version for me. . . . doubt if my eyes would cope
