LOL Lantana, never thought of that when I posted.  I don't mind football but I wouldn't be excited at going to see a match live, definitely an armchair fan now, anyway for my sins I'm a West Brom fan.

Wouldn't find me anywhere near a bee or wasp nest Liri, I leave those sort of things to the experts.

I've attacked a jasmine this afternoon.  It doesn't flower very well and is getting a bit bullish so it's for the chop I'm afraid.  Just the root to dig out now.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Lantana, I hadn't thought of the zoom on my camera - that could be a good idea!  I tried binoculars from part way up the bank, and now they look more like wasps again.  image  It's really hard to see against the light.  But I don't intend to get rid of them unless they start coming in the house, and so far they haven't been interested in the open bedroom window below their entrance hole.

Yes, a Faberge egg in the bank could be... a good "nest egg"...  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

All done now. Lovely sunny day so I've come home from work and stuck both washing machines on. ( less chores for midweek)

Hubby just called to say he's stuck in traffic on M25.image Think his day is worse than mine.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend.

    Devon.

    Evening lovely people.  image

Anyone listening to the Hyde Park concert? Very good.

I didn't get blown away - I tethered myself with a rope just to make sure image

Yvie...I daren't make another wish list - for tulips especially....image

It's not easy fixing a new gate when the problem with it is caused by the wind....I'm fed up buying new latches when delivery men don't bother shutting the gate and the wind whips it back and snaps the latch off, so I've hung it the other way. I've made it more solid and I have a new latch which is the kind you find on footpath gates and copes with being slammed shut,  so hopefully......image

Hands are aching as the saw's blunt. I think that's the fifth or sixth one I've gone through since I moved here. I'm knackered. I'll be glad to go back to work tomorrow for a rest....image

Our shops are open till late on Sundays Hosta, so I don't suppose that issue arises, but it seems crazy....

Think a carry out is in order here. Chish and fips anyone?

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    A good evening's listening/viewing then Dove.

It's still VERY stormy, the wind whistling and battering the trees in the woods.  Hope I manage to sleep.
