It's one I probably wouldn't have bothered with from the photo on the packet (I'm a sucker for the pinks, purples and blues) but the promise of a glorious scent from such a tiny flower as described by the original poster caught my interest. I wasn't sure if my packet was the same stuff, thanks again for a positive ID Alan.
Aym, you do realise that the squirrel will dig in your pots and may turf out plants. It will bury and return to retrieve nuts from the pots and your lawn- - - - - what it fails to retrieve will grow. . . in the spring I go around pulling out chestnut, beech and oak seedlings.
Morning aym, sorry no photos it's far to wet underfoot to venture outside
Nice you were able to snap your cheeky visitor, they're off as quick as a flash when you step out the door in my garden.
Joyce is right in pointing out how destructive they can be. I find they often dig up bulbs and leave them half chewed on top of the soil and often find buried monkey nuts in my flower beds and pots. I get oak seedlings too, there's a huge tree at the end of the street but the squirrels seem determined to grow one in my patch

No, but I do grow it.

Same here Aym. They live in the woodland over the fence. One will sit on the fence and listen as I say nasty things to it but it doesn't care
Well worth propagating Aym.
I am in a white, cream and blue phase. The white and cream in among shrubs to lighten the shady areas and blue as it's my favourite colour.
We used to grow a lot of dahlias but it became too much effort for us to lift and store them.
Love the helenium Verdun but not too sure about your plant association this time. . . . I'm off pronto
