Vishu - they could rot. Is the pot raised off the ground to allow for drainage?

    Joyce, it's on the terrace.

image Joyce, thus is what it looks like, now. Should I be worried?

Vishu -  try to let the compost/soil dry out a bit.  Can you put the pot somewhere where it wont get rain? Does the terrace have a roof over part of it?

We tend to sit pots on top of pot feet, bricks etc to allow for drainage as we get so much rain.

Okay, thanks joyce. Will see what I can do.

imageVishu - you can see that most of the pots are raised off the ground. There will soon be spring colour when the bulbs in them flower.

Hi everyone image Runny i love your snow drops, i think i have some coming through but too blooming cold to go out there and take pics image We have been frozen solid all year so far and even had a flurry of snow this morning! Re snow drops didn't you source some unusual beautiful  ones a couple of years ago? How are they getting on?

Aym your hellebores are gorgeous.  When i can get out there I am thinking to take off the leaves on the hellebores.  I'm sure i remember an episode of GW when they went to a garden which was pretty much woodland and the lady did this?

Vishu hope you have raised your pots like Joyce very wisely has suggested.  I love your lily but as i have cats i can not have although on another thread someone said you can get pollen free ones.  Does anyone know if its just the pollen that is poisonous to cats as i thought the leaves etc are too?

BM - not sure about the lily leaves and cats but when we had a cat I just used to remove the pollen from the lilies. Harts Nursery have the pollen free lilies.

I grow lilies in pots as it's easier to keep an eye open for lily beetles. Haven't had any so far. . . .

Joyce, what all bulbs are these???image

Yes I did raise them by putting broken pieces of pottery under them.

Beau's Mum, thanks. Amazon lily is not true lily. It's just common name. It is also known as eucharis. It's a full shade plant. Do give it a try.
