Vishu, I remember marigolds everywhere!!  Here, small pots of poinsettia are sold for xmas whereas at Haldwani, en route to Nainital the poinsettias are 15 - 20 feet high. In Srinagar the bird of paradise flower grew like a weed. . . . I was so jealous.

Yeah, marigolds are like the traditional wedding flowers. The bloom throughout the year.

Bird of paradise are easy to grow here too but it's the canna that grows like weed. Them and aloe Vera.

There is a mixed hedge of poinsettia in my uni. but I never knew they grew so tall.

Here are some pictures of my beautiful lilies that I had come up in the garden last year. My fingers are crossed that they will come up again this year. I grow them all in pots, and actually leave them out in the garden all year round. I just cut them down when the flowers have all gone and the leaves have died off and gone yellow.

Morning aymimage.  Haha, your squirrel made me smile, the cheeky devil, I get the peanuts too, normally buried in random spots and pots around the gardenimage. Well done with the double?, hope there are more to come.

Lovely lilies Jacqueline, I don't grow them because I have cats, nice so see others beautiful bloomsimage. Hope your wrist is continuing to heal well and you're looking forward to spring???

The orchids are lovely Philippa.  My daughter split her cymbidium for me but I wont get flowers until later this year.
