Aym: what are you talking about? That pansy is beautiful. Pansys always remind me of grumpy, angry, over pampered kids.

Your hellebores are lovely, especially Burgundy one.

  • Hi guys...especially Aym! It's been ages since I've checked in. What lovely winter flowers everyone has. I'd like to share with you some photos of my amaryllis as we have loads. They're all really tall and have sent up two stalks! Firstly three of my mum's old ones which keep coming back bigger and stronger every year...

    1) 'Minerva' (it gave seeds last year which I germinated and they are now seedlings, and is currently producing another seed pod)

    2) An unknown red, the usual I guess but it's very vibrant.

    3) 'Showmaster', this one is my favourite:

And two new ones bought from the internet! Supersized bulbs:

    4) Orange Soverign. It's humongous and people have asked me if it's real when they saw it?! The petals looked like they had golddust on them in certain light. It has had two stalks each with six massive flowers on them. It's finished flowering and is currently producing a seed pod.

    5) Gervase - this just opened a couple of days ago, pale pink with red and dark pink candy like stripes, it's so pretty! I wanted 'Adele' but it was sold out. So glad I got this one though!

Am waiting for the last one to open it's called 'Naughty Girl'. Hope I didn't bore you with my amaryllis photos :-)
