Morning aym. Hope you are well and keeping warm. I went for a potter down the end of the garden this morning, no lovely flowers for you (sorry), but I found a few more bulbs for Vishu?
Tritella/Brodeia (Spelling?)
Bluebells
Crocus
Possibly dwarf Narcissus, worthy of the "gallery of shame"
Hi Vishu, the GOS is an abbreviation of "gallery of shame" which is a lighthearted forum thread where we can post photos of the imperfect parts of our gardening efforts for a bit of fun.
These bulbs were forgotten and left out in an empty pot I'm really not as tidy as aym thinks I am.
I'm no soil expert but mine in the garden has some clay in it which I try to improve with organic matter and grit to help drainage. It is neutral to mildly acid pH. The pots have a mix of garden soil and potting compost.
Good evening aym. Nope, no snow here yet, just freezing cold rain
I'm on the south side of the city, not too far away from DHR, (his bit is posher though). I'm embarrassed to say that I don't pay much attention to the architecture when I go into the city centre. To me it's just Town
It is a shame that Vishu has difficulty getting the bulbs, but nice that we can share the photos on your thread?. I'm sure there will some stunning ones to come this spring.

And
??? Definitely "GOS" material
Aym, sorry I couldn't reply......was out of station. Can't wait to see what you have
Kitty 2 thanks a lot for the pics!
first time ever heard of tritella. Their flowers look interesting.
I have always wanted crocus but no one here has successfully kept them so don't get any.
What's GOS material? Those are daff bulbs in the last pic, right? I hope you don't plan to throw/compost them.
Btw, what is that soil type?? It looks interesting. Is it good for plants?

Sorry, hit the post button too soon.
Yes the bulbs are daffs, I dug them up last year and had no plan where to put them.
The tritella is only small but very pretty, flowers in early summer here in NW England if I'm remembering right. ???
I shall put more photos on as and when the others appear. I spotted a tiny glimpse of green where the snowdrops should be yesterday

Not much here either aym, although the tiny buds on my viburnum tinus are starting to flower.
Winter flowers are a bit underwhelming
.
Roll on spring
????
This cold weather will hold flowering back so it will be at least ten days before most of the hellebores will be flowering.
The snow we had today has gone.
Hi Aym etc...and all lovely people! ??. I have a Viburnum but no idea what one. Hadn't realized there were a few.
Yes Aym, little pink/white ones but it's the second year growing it from a youngster and there was no notes/signs on it.
Will, if the rain holds off, take a pic tomorrow.?
