I know what you mean with mothers/sons..my son has been in hospital nearly three weeks....(accident resulting in smashed shoulder)?, he was discharged today but a long road ahead of pyshio and pain relief and we are terribly close....(talk like friends would and have a right good laugh at times) .

hi apologies for being quiet earlier, had a busy day, thankyou clarice for your get well card and thankyou aym for your kind thoughts....my eye is much better today thank you both. I have walked my dog twice, in sunglasses to keep the debris on the wind from blowing in my eyes. And....i've spent the day with my son....lovely...he dug a trench to lay electric cable from the she-shed
aym, you really do have it rather tough with smells, fumes etc, i don't know what to say? .....fancy that we both have sons the same age.... Glad you got busy with your cuttings today, i potted up oriental lily bulbs bought on the cheap, all lined up in the cold GH now

we have a guest this week and next, a dear friend who has driven down from the very north west of scotland to enjoy some change of scenery and rest with friends...he is much older than me and a bit older than my hubby, he has lots of interesting tales of his life..
Aym:just been looking at all the beautiful photos, I wished I'd found it earlier .
I wouldn't dare upload any of my poor offerings , not yet anyway! I will have to make a note on what to grow next year,.your very lucky , being able to take the cuttings , so many with greenfingers!!!!!
Morning aym, sounds like you have a busy potting day ahead, do you listen to the radio when you are potting? I have a little solar radio which i have on quietly in the garden. We have a great gardening programme on radio norfolk on a sat lunchtime, if you google 'the garden party' in iplayer, you should find back recordings...they sometimes wander off gardening with their ramblings, but alan gray of the vicarage, east ruston, beautiful place, worth a visit to their annual plant day in june, is usually on and he is great fun ?
Hi aym280, just been catching up with the thread, loved the flowers and the sculpture shots. I've not beeen around as my back is playing up. It's looking awful out in my yard and needs a good sort out so no photos to show. Haven't been able to get anything done, there are annuals that are over and need removing and my dahlia tuber to dig out of its container. Will be giving the dahlia tuber to my mum and will grow another couple from seed and see what pops up. Sorry to hear you are still having problems with the awful fumes and smells, have you tried the Enviromental Health? Having to have the windows open in this weather can't be doing you or you bills any good. I hope you find some peace from it soon.
Interesting links on the rose cuttings might give that a go myself.
