Hope the move goes smoothly Chicky - a big step but the right one I'm sure.

The sting is better thanks - just very itchy image

    Morning Chicky and All

How very poignant for FiL and for you and Mr C, you must all have fond memories. Have you taken some cuttings from the garden as keepsakes?

Continuing dreadful news from Italy- 247 now confirmed dead or missing. Saw a very relieved hound being pulled out, owners didn't make it though.

Just been down to post a birthday card to son (has it really been 24 years? image) and I have never seen the street rubbish so bad. image

On that note - have a nice day everyone!

That's a huge change for FIL Chicky.  Hope it all goes well.

Take an antihistamine Dove.  Don't scratch!

Gave up trying to sleep so got up and set the sprinkler and made raspberry and almond muffins for patchwork class today.   Brain is whirring over international removal companies who expect me to estimate the cubic volume of our possessions and send them photos rather than come and do a proper estimate of how much there is and how long it will take to pack up.   Bizarre.

Another sunny day here.   Scorchio here we come.

Have a good trip over Busy.

Morning all and Hi Pat image

A slight nip in the air but to be warm later.

An emotional day for FiL Chicky.  Hope all goes well. How is your dad getting on now?

obelixx, your brain is in overdrive image Rather you than me start to work out the cubic volume. . . . why do so many firms expect you to do preparatory work yourself now ?

Hope that the bites and itches improve soon for those affected.

Morning everyone else and those to come. Cloudy here but seems pleasant enough.

I slept till the alarm this morning - very unusual! Work soon so I'll catch up a little before I go image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Hi all.

Big thunder storm kept me awake, but it is now much less muggy, more rain due today.

Going to start choosing next years seeds today, initial list always includes about twice as many as I will have space to germinate, then hopefully get down to a reasonable number. Always choose a few new ones every year.

    Have a good day.

    Morning all.

Obelixx, Cubic yards are hard enough to estimate, but when we had stuff shipped back from our flat in Goa to UK, the removal guy wanted a weight!!!!

"I've never had to weigh a suite of furniture, how do you suggest I go about it? "

The metal box containing 260m of curtain fabric took 4 guys to get it downstairs. Raw silk at £4 a metre!! be churlish not to eh?

The motor bike came by separate shipment so the shop dealt with that one.

Good luck with the move Chicky.

Tsk, already forgotten whose son is 24, my daughter is 25 tomorrow.

Foggy and damp here, can't even see the lake at the bottom of the garden. Glad I got the grass cut yesterday , but my back is killing me.

    Devon.

    Morning all.

Thanks Joyce and Obelixx, we are off this afternoon. I'm doing lots of watering before we go. Should be 34° this afternoon and the forecast for the next 2 weeks is hot and sunny. Think it will be a relief to be in England, where the forecast is low 20s. Just right.

Feel so sorry for the people in that Italian town. Horrific.

Temp only dropped to 16.4C overnight - no wonder it was a bit sticky,    We've had some rain too, so it's a bit fresher out there ... hopefully it's going to stay fine long enough to get a couple of loads of washing dry.
