    Hi all.

Lovely sunny day, so must get outside, far too much Olympic viewing in the last few days.

I have a stream running through the garden, so have been known to sit and dangle my legs, which is fine until a trout swims by and tickles my feet, making me recoil as though I have been attacked by a Shark.

Better weather has meant a lot of the Cannas are now flowering, hopefully get a few weeks blooms, before the frosts come!

Trout tickling feet is one thing Pdoc, but I'd never dangle my feet because it would probably b a snake. That's why I've never nagged for an ornamental pool, here.image

    Morning all!  image

The new set top box is arriving today, apparently, rather than tomorrow as confidently predicted until 8am today.  Good thing I'm retired and can change my plans!  I'd planned a walking day.  However, I must fix a notice to the front door for the delivery driver before I disappear into the garden...

Punkdoc, I've heard of people tickling trout, but not normally the other way round.  image  A stream through the garden sounds heavenly.

Topbird, snap!  Will give my shed its second coat of stain today, having replaced those boards which go round the roof (barge boards??).  Then gardening as a reward, I hope!

Clari, I'd get those skin tags checked out next time you see the doc.  My guess is he'll say it's a normal ageing thing, but better safe than sorry image

Wonky, hope the cold is relaxing its grip a bit now.  More adult honey & lemon required?

A swimming pool sounds just the ticket for today.  Don't think they work in a sloping garden though... image

    Have a lovely day folks.

Pat, as a child (aged about 6) in Essex with my Granny, I felt something round my feet when paddling in the river Blackwater.  To her horror I lifted out a large snake.  It was a harmless grass snake, which is the only one usually found in water in Britain.  I was just interested, but Granny was quite upset!

    Morning all, afternoon Pat, image

Overcast but warm today, testing my strength and ability to do things to assess how soon I can go back to work. Good to hear from you Lirio, image I've used a whole jar of honey on adult honey and lemon drinks image however I have just managed to water the garden. Although I'm flaked now, its progress! Not sure how I'd do at pushing around a fully grown adult in a wheelchair though image

Pdoc, I hear some posh folks pay a fortune to have their feet nibbled by fish to remove dead skin, you could open a spa! image

Dove, hope you and OH are having a lovely pretend holiday! image

Another wonky hug for Bushman to keep spirits boosted!

    Enjoy your day all image

At the beach in Goa I stood on something in the shallows which I thought to be an old inner tube or such like. Only when it moved and rubbed against my knee did I look down and see a highly poisonous sea snake.

You've never seen two old poofs run out of the sea so quickly.

Oh Hosta you've put me right off getting in the bath now! I'd love a swimming pool; no where for one to go. I used to swim every day at a pool on my way to work. Bliss at 05:30 with only three of you around. Around here they don't seem to offer the same "adult only"  image swim sessions.

The hound has been walked and I've just come upstairs to change the bedsheets. Slight flaw in the plan I'm now laying on them reading this site. Oops!
