Oh Hosta - I expect there is always going to be that kind of 'fear' now. I think most mothers would feel like that too. We can't let it spoil people enjoying themselves and living their lives. Glad you've had a a lovely time. The weeds won't be too bad at home...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Need to get out there and cut back the cerinthe to make a bit more room for Aster Little Carlow and Rudbeckia Goldsturm who are fighting their way through ... a bit of weeding in the Wilderness needed too since the rain the other day ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Oh LP it's heartbreaking when a hound is ill isn't it. Have you seen the vets yet? I hope it's just a one off event and nothing that a little chicken and rice won't solve. As someone whose dog has irritable bowel syndrome I feel for you.
We've just gotten back from a walk to the park; dogs everywhere it was brilliant to see so many playing together. Everyone was nice and friendly and relaxed. I sometimes think dog walkers have their own social community.
Now I need to clear up his lordships efforts at helping cut the hedges. He NEVER clears away the cuttings!

Have been out on rural roads. . . very strong cross winds, small branches and leaves blown down.
Will need to batten down the hatches tonight
