Same here Pdoc, though I feel I should press on as it's not often we've had good gardening weather.  The weeds have been enjoying everything the heavens have sentimage.

Hosta I like the idea of a swimming lake.  You could start by buying a few plants and go into large scale proopogator.  I DON'T like the idea of snakes in the waterimage

Liri perhaps you could have a walk-through waterfall instead of a pondimage.  Hooe your delivery arrives OK and you can watch the Olympics on a bigger screenimage.

Glad you're feeling slightly better Wonky but don't rush back to work too soon.

Lesley,  In no way am I complaining but it is hot here image  All the pots have had a good soak.  My two hours 'me' time will be spent in the shade in friend's garden while her OH keeps the coffee flowing image

That sounds just the ticket Joyce.  Enjoy your relaxation.  I've been on my hands and knees weeding between the (crazyimage) paving on the patio and my back is starting to complain.  If we ever win the lottery I'll get the hard landscapers in.  It's nice to dreamimage.

Watching the open water swimming should cool you off Pdocimage.

My pool repair man has closed down. Another is too busy, another will get back with an estimate. Meanwhile OH has bought Araldite to cover the crack. Went to the DIY place, then went to 2 pool places, one doesn't do sand filters uses another method and the other was closed for lunch by the time we got there at midday. Couldn't find it at first as it's moved about 3kms away and the road was closed.

It's now 33° and the pool is full of dead insects.

I hope you've all been enjoying the good weather.

A sad day for us as my relative passed away in the early hours of the morning.

  • Thank you Hazel. Just in a state of limbo now as we can't really do anything until the hospital releases the certificate enabling us to register the death.
