My little youngster (robin) was at the feeder earlier - Dennis junior - think it's a he, don't ask me why He's starting to get a bit of colour on his chest. He's a sturdy looking chap
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

First garden seat has been rubbed down and had it's first coat - OH took over and finished it for me as my tea making and chicken roasting skills were required ...
Roast chicken, herby stuffing, cauli in white sauce and minted new potatoes with gravy have been eaten and OH is washing up. Plenty of chicken left for a salad tomorrow as we're expecting the man to service the boiler at some time between 2 - 6 tomorrow so the kitchen will be out of action.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I will lower the tone a bit further. . . . As a student nurse I was asked to do a pre-op shave on a patient as there was no male orderly available. The patient was 75 so, in my innocence, I went ahead.. . . . .I don't know who got the bigger shock when the "worm" stood to attention. . .
So many posts since Friday night! They've really cheered me up though. Things have been a bit stressful, a close relative got rushed to hospital on Friday afternoon and is really quite ill, I don't think the prognosis is going to be very good. I couldn't get to sleep Friday night, think it was sometime past 3am that I did eventually drift off. I've tried to keep my mind occupied by doing bits in the garden, and all the little things in the house that I've been putting off (changing the bulbs in the kitchen light etc). I've even gone as far as dying a rather boring white bed set!
