Can't cope with Wyvale, every time I go to one all the plants look like they need to be rescued.  Only pop in for cake and tea with Mabel, they have a little playbarn so she can burn off some energy. If I'm at firsborns I go to St Peters Garden Centre which is at Norton, Worcester.  When I'm at home I go to Ashwoods.  I don't think I've ever seen so much as a dead leaf at Ashwoods and none of the plants ever look like they need a good watering even when its drought conditions.

Right, can we sort out this C word situation.  It really shouldn't be used until at least November.  You'll be putting the sprouts on to boil nextimageimage

I've just taken delivery of more plants from The Secret Gardening Club, it's Marions fault she recommended them and now I'm on first name terms with the delivery man.  3 Sedum Vera Jameson, 3 Carex Ice Dance and 3 Nepeta faassenii Kit Kat.  Just over £17.00 and no delivery charge because I'm a member (£9 per year) bargain.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Our local nurseries are my favourite places to go plant hunting, but I have to admit I sometimes end up going to Wyevale because they are closer. One particular nursery is brilliant, the till staff will even pull out any weeds from the pots as they scan them through for you- you don't get that at Wyevale!

About the only thing that disappoints me about living here is the lack of garden centre / nurseries. I thought there would be more.

Wyevale took over the nearest one last year and it's now, well, it's just Wyevale. image

    Just watched it Pp. Brilliant!

No, I didn't have any battenburg - only a banana and a packet of crisps  image

Got a good bit done today , until the battery ran out on the screwdriver, so the fittings can go on the gate later.  I might tackle the gravel tomorrow, which will require moving 'things'. Should walk again, but I added an extra hill yesterday to make a longer walk, so I won't feel guilty if I get on here at home  instead.

Yvie - my mum would probably have had the sprouts on by now  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Love the cabinet. My mum had a yellow one. I can still remember the noise when the flap was opened. But the best thing was that that was where my parents  hid my first watch before Christmas. Every time they went out , I would sneak into the kitchen  and  reach up to the top of  the cabinet to try it on.

    In London. Keen but lazy.
