    Morning all.

Overcast at the moment but sunshine and more of yesterday's warmness (we call it heat but 27° it ain't) forecast. image

We got loads done yesterday and have moved along to yet another dead tree. This one's only little so it'll be lopper nibbling rather than chainsaw massacre. Scratched to bits with brambles but managed to avoid the 5-6ft nettles which is a bonus. image

Lots of therapeutic shredding here too. It's very satisfying seeing a huge pile of sticks reduced to a few buckets full. I have loads of logs already so I gave stacks to the young lad at the recycling centre as a "baby present" and promised him some more. You'd think I'd given him the crown jewels. Bless. I wonder what his new little girl will think of her present. image Not much!!

I've remembered again why I was going to dig out my roses. One of them got me a real nasty when I was deadheading and my typing/poking finger is like "cartoon" sore finger this morning. Hateful, nasty b****r. image

BL:- ""I hope one day she might look in and see that it's improved a bit since the early days."" Are you sure? What has changed?

    Morning all,

    Beautiful sunny morning.

One load of washing out on the line, another almost done in the machine.

Garage roof repaired yesterday. Men worked hard all day in the heat. So lots of tea was supplied.........and cake! image which kept them all very happyimage

Hope all poorly peeps are now better.

Hosta, how's your knee, take care at work.

Thinking of you Pdoc if you're looking in.

You too Verdun, hope to see you soon.

And Kef, really missing you too.

I thought Wintersong left before the new format.

With you PP, what difference, it's still the same. Much prefer the old layout. Posting pics is hit and miss. And can't find lots of threads.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone, take care.

    TTFN x

I am still struggling with photos. Sometimes they will, sometimes they won't. Yesterday I tried to post a photo 3.7 Mb. No good. I tried three times then gave up.

Sunny here so I guess this is summer. image

Lots of stuff to do before guest arrival tomorrow. TTFN.

Won't let you upload anything over 2.5 fidget. I've tried, using loads of different ones till I got to that size. I've flagged it up but nothing's been resolved as far as I know image

I think KEF was still having building work done lily. She pops in now and again.

CAn we have some of your heat - I have washing to go out and it'll just hang there doing nowt...image

The rain has gone off but it's not great drying weather. I've just been watching a flurry of blue, great and coal tits on the feeder and among the shrubs. Keeping my greenfly away image

If I could be bothered,  could iron my curtains and get the pole organised to put them up of course...image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I don't want to complain about the heat, as we've only had the sun for a few days. But it's faaarrrr too hot out there to do anything. Even to sit. I'll share with you Fairy, as I don't want any more rainimage

Hope the building work is going ok Kef. x

Gosh Joyce! I'm doing the housework in my pants and a t shirt liberated from my partner as it's so hot here. Don't worry I closed the curtains!

Trying very hard to get all the chores done but horrors... the Dyson has died and the engineer won't be out until 2nd August. Anyone with a long haired animal will understand my pain.

The washing machine is going all guns I'm not going to miss the opportunity to enjoy not having clothes drying in the house!

Right I'd best get back to business and resist the urge trip the lounge carpet up.

I'm inside and I've not got much less on than I had on the hill yesterday..and it was probably only around three or four degrees on the top  image

At least I don't need the waterproof jacket and gloves though....image

    I could lend you a brush Clari....image

I am putting up batten and curtain pole for bedroom curtains. Well I was until the screwdriver died. It's useless - battery doesn't hold a charge fro any time at all, and the spare one doesn't charge properly... image

I've put the washing out. Don't know if it'll dry....

    Sigh
