Afternoon everyone! Hope Fairy is having a good walk
That clip is beautiful Papi Jo - would love to be able to do something like that
Hate having workmen in making lots of mess BL - still, at least you were able to leave it behind
Have been to the SM and doctors, made some phone calls, mowed the lawn, done a pile of shredding and now I'm hot hot hot. (That's a red-in-the-face smiley - not an embarrassed one!)
This afternoon I must do a lot of watering as I have new plantings in the ground. It is going to be very hot here and I don't think I'll have time to water them over the next few days.
Also have to prepare things for tomorrow. We are off to in-laws for their diamond wedding anniversary tea party tomorrow - day trip from Suffolk to N Yorkshire so lots of driving . Not only will we be helping with the party but I've offered to do dinner up there as well - so need to get everything ready to transport, griddle courgettes, poach salmon, pick herbs / veg etc. At some stage I should try to do 'something' with my hair....
Best have some lunch now and try to cool down. If in doubt what to do next - sit down & drink tea
PS. - If P'Doc is looking in - I hope you are feeling a little brighter. The news doesn't help but maybe the weather forecast can make things feel a little better
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Back lawn cut and edged and a bit of tidying done. Lots of watering done too - some to keep the soil moist for the nematodes I applied the other day. I've also watered the new bed as the cerinthe have an attack of powdery mildew . Now the sprinkler is on the sweetcorn. I must say I'm impressed with this 'Swift' sweetcorn so far, growing quickly and nice sturdy plants, almost all have two cobs forming, some have three
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Welcome back Steve I must say, I'd wondered where you were hiding - glad you had a good time - I've just googled it - looks fantastic - but do they have mozzies there?

Somewhat 'breezy' up top, but managed to escape most of the rain coming in. Not a thrilling hill but I really enjoyed it as the views are tremendous. Lots of 'lou'ring' skies.
Extremely wet coming home but it cleared as I got past Loch Lomond and is fine here. Hope the photos have turned out ok - there was lovely group of three kestrels whirring about and one sat on the stile by a deer fence so I'm hoping I got something worthwhile.
Assisted a couple of young lads when I got there who had run out of petrol and weren't sure of the nearest petrol station. Are you lot setting me up? I keep meeting young men when I'm out....
Good to see you Steve and glad you've had a good holiday. I'll google that place you've mentioned
But first - a shower I think....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Topbird: "I'm hot, hot, hot". . . . . I came in from the cold and the wind and have put the heating on
I think Fairy may be in need of a hot bath after her walk.
Eagerly awaiting next week's predicted heatwave

Dipping in, just back from a Norwegian Cruise, including a visit to Flor og Fjaere and if you haven't been, you must!

Dove, it is too damned windy on the way in for anything at all!
Once inside the tree cover, quiet and sheltered. No still water either really, it is always moving or filled with koi!
Evening all. Home from the hill
