KT53, You are wrong about the weather, My Junkers jumped into one of his aeroplanes and lassoed the Jet Stream towing it down to the English Channel and thus forming a barrier between us. The weather then came straight down from the North pole with Putin setting up large fans to keep it moving. Well if you will vote out expect the knee jerk in the testimonials, Junkers does not like dissidents you do it his way or get bombed with large lumps of fresh horse poo so there. Could come in handy for the compost!!!
Interesting to see that the FTSE 100 is back above the level it was at before the referendum. That suggests confidence in the biggest companies in the UK hasn't been affected unduly by the vote.
FTSE250 and the exchange rates are still down, but at least heading slowly back in the right direction. I'm sure there will be more bumps in the road but, at the moment, the doom mongers seem to have got it wrong.
PANSY,IDON'T WANT IT TO STOP IF PEOPLE STILL HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY BUT I WISH IT WOULD FADE AWAY. I SUPPOSE I'M A WISHY WASHY LIBERAL - FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND ALL THAT. AT MY AGE IN FLATTERED THAT YOU THINK MY SYNTAX AND VOCABULARY ARE MODERN
I keep looking at this thread, thinking we should all move on, but am magnetically drawn to it, nevertheless!
Aaaah - all those poor young things who think the oldies and wrinklies have stolen their future! Yet less than a third of them managed to get out of bed and vote! And what seems to have escaped them is the fact that we voted on their behalf - using our experience of the past few decades.
MPs in tears? (Anna Soubry - sorry, love, no sympathy. The status quo is just not good enough).
The markets are picking up. It will still be a rocky road, but we are strong enough (and some would say bloody minded enough) to weather the storms.
One thing is bothering me: we have voted "out". But until we trigger article 50, we are still in. So who the devil does this Juncker chap think he is telling us we have no right to be there, debating the issues etc? And why did Dodgy Dave roll over and allow himself to be excluded? Repeat: we have, as a nation, shown our intention. It is not operational until (and unless) we trigger Article 50 and two years' worth of negotiation on terms is completed.
So we are still in. And surely we should demand a place at the table and a voice? Or am I missing something?
I shows some of the Eurocrats (who would think of themselves as the "great and good")in their true colours. Fear is on all of their faces. I see a yellow stripe down their backs. They are terrified that our vote will be "contagious" and other countries will try to leave.
Well if they are right, and they are on the right course, why not hold a Europe-wide referendum and get the backing of the "people" (aka "the great unwashed").
Or, why not hold a vote for at least one of the FIVE presidents?
Sorry - I'm getting fed up with all the negativity doing the rounds. We are where we are. We know that the European project has flaws. Pretending that GB is the only country that has doubts and that it is only we who are out of step is disingenuous.

Those "Expert" predictions turned out to be inaccurate again. Sigh........................
Haven't they heard that one about the definition of an expert? (please excuse the spelling!)
i.e. "ex" = a "has been"
"spert" = a drip under pressure.
I find this thread disturbing but irresistible. I hope it fades down the scroll soon.

It has made British and European Polotics very interesting
